I have only made a quick count of whatever green blobs I could see in the photos I snapped. It looks like high 90's percentage with 3 of 4 batches. The VRG x Colossus are the older seeds used w Gibberellic Acid with only 30%ish germination. They got a quick exchange of fresh air and some Recharge.

I am going to be hunting for mutant morphology with these batches only. I hope that my timing lines up as well as possible in regards to my newly started Pereskiopsis rootstock stash, and these Lil ones being big enough for some micrografts. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🌵🤓

PSA: Move from CO ----> AZ

So, after giving it some thought and receiving feedback from some of you fellow Trichophiles, I felt it was appropriate to make a PSA about my relocation and my continued operation under the name Colorado Cactus Caretakers.
​
I started my Trichocereus collection back in 2019. I bought my first named clones through a guy from Florida named Jereamy (spelling), who worked in the oil fields, and a guy from Bulgaria who goes by TL. I started buying seeds from Misplant and one or two eBay vendors around the turn of the year when lockdown started.
​
Since the germination of my idea to breed my own Trichocereus was sown in Colorado, that is why I will continue to operate under the name Colorado Cactus Caretakers, despite now living in AZ.
​
Regarding my garden and collection, I moved to AZ for the increase in available growing days throughout the year. I was tired of having to put my largest specimens into dormancy and dealing with the anxiety of potential etiolation. There is also the need to be in a climate conducive to Trichocereus flowering, which is essential for phenotype hunting and creating colorful flowering hybrids, such as the original Zelly’s and Zelly crosses.
