How often should I get my flute professionally cleaned?

I’ve been playing flute for about two years at this point, and I have yet to take my flute into the shop to get professionally cleaned. I was told by my private lesson teacher that I would need to have my flute cleaned every so often. I was wondering how often do I actually need to have my flute cleaned? How does it affect the health of the flute if I postpone cleaning it? Will the quality of my playing decrease if I don’t? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

(I should probably clarify; when I say “professionally cleaned” I don’t mean routine swabbing. I am referring to taking the flute into my local music store where they clean it and do routine maintenance.)

Hi :3! I am relatively new to the fandom, and it’s been bothering me that I don’t have professional art of my fursona. I’m am by no means an artist. I cannot draw anything unless I have a tutorial telling me exactly what to do. I do not have available funds at the moment, nor do I have any form of Cash App. I am extremely opposed to the use of generative AI for this endeavor. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do? As much as I hate asking for free things, I’m afraid that’s what I’ll have to resort to. If anyone has any advice please comment.

(Btw don’t ask about the PFP. It’s art that I found online. Not mine.)
