7day Water Fast. Lost ~6kg. Why am I so tired?

Hi everyone, I’m 33F 164cm with PCOS and been on a weight loss journey since March of this year. Started a water fast on Thursday and wasn’t sure how far I’d go but today is day 6 and I made it. But I wonder whether to fast one more day to complete 7 or to break since I feel tired.

Here are some of my stats so far
HW - 100kg (March)
SW - 86.3kg (last Thursday)
CW - 80.5kg
Lost 5.8kg so far from this fast and excited to be entering the 70s

I wonder how people say they feel energetic cos I’ve been feeling increasingly fatigued as the days go by. Weird cos my energy typically increases by the day when I fast. Wonder if it’s the exercise this time, cos that’s the only thing that’s changed. I work from home and literally have to come lie down every 2-3hrs between tasks.

Day 1 - 86.3kg (Did 45min yoga + 45min spin class; had lots of energy)
Day 2 - 85kg (Usual Leg Day routine + 45min treadmill; had plenty energy still)
Day 3 - 83.7kg (Upper Body + Treadmill; slept a lot after the gym since it was a Saturday, had a packet of electrolytes)
Day 4 - 82.7kg (70min walk; sore muscles from previous workouts, had a packet of electrolytes)
Day 5 - 81.5kg (70min walk: Fatigue has set in, was very very tempted to break the fast, took some coffee with stevia. Also half a teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt, and felt a little better)
Day 6 - 80.5kg (No walk today cos it’s raining cats and dogs 🌧️ Had half a teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt and some coffee. Today has been the absolute worst, lol. I’m tired af when I’m at my desk but I feel okay when I lay in bed— is that normal?)

Anyway, my plan was gonna be to fast one more day (that’s tomorrow Wednesday) and then break on Thursday morning by taking bone broth with some chicken soup, and later in the afternoon/evening, have some eggs with avocado with more broth and then have some proper food on Friday

I have regained water weight quickly in the past when I refeed so this time I plan to eat some keto meals I love for a week or two, and gradually increase my carbs to normal so I can stay in the 70s weight range

Question: Is it safe to go one more day? I woke so many times last night scared that my heart might stop from not eating, lol. I e done multiple 3-5day water fasts btw. Even tried dry fasting one time before, lol.

Damn, how do people go 40days cos this sh*t is hardddd 😅

Ps: I take Magnesium glycinate supplements (has melatonin and aswgandha) every night

Adding salt to my water makes me feel nauseous

Can I stick to regular water with lemon during extended fasting? I add pink Himalayan salt to my water and sometimes I use electrolytes pack but I find the taste so odd and I start to feel nauseous after taking it.

Is this normal? Is it just me?

Will fasting crash my metabolism?

I’m 32F, 5’4 and I used to weigh 104kg and got to 95kg over 4 mths from gradual dietary changes. Now I’m trying to lose a little faster so I can get to maintaining and I’ve been incorporating water fasting.

I’ve lost 10kg over the last 6weeks (now 85kg) and intend to lose about 20-30kg more in the coming weeks.

My BMR has pretty much stayed the same over the past couple of months, and I’ve also gained about 4kg muscle cos I’ve been strength training which I intend to keep doing.

I want to keep water fasting regularly, but I worry that I may crash my metabolism from going too quick. But I need to keep going at this pace so I don’t lose momentum and give up 😮‍💨

From how it’s been going, do I have cause to worry about crashing my metabolism from regular water fasting?

Must I do a juice cleanse before starting a 14-day water fast?

I did a 7day water fast two weeks ago, and would like to give it another go. Since I broke my last fast, I’ve been eating clean, although I increased my carb intake and added back some of the weight I lost.

Do I need to do a green juice cleanse before starting a new fast or I can just jump right in? I hear not doing a cleanse might make me lose weight slower.

PS: I’m fasting primarily for weight loss.

I did a water fast for 4days, went dry on days 5&6 and switched back to water on day 7 and had to break cos I started to feel very nauseous. Starting weight was 201.7lbs / 91,5kg and now ended at 187.2lbs / 84.9kg. Was too weak to cook so I broke with water, some watermelon and boiled eggs spread across the entire day. I still feel some nausea and can really stand the taste of electrolyte water; everything smells horrible too. I reckon I’ll start to feel much better one I resume eating; this nausea sucks. My stomach mostly feels fine but when I use the loo, I notice the color is really dark…is that normal or do I need to go see a doctor?
