Do any of you remember this 70s album?

As a kid, I asked for this record and got it, along with Abba's Arrival.

Then we took off for the day in the car, I put both albums up on the back seat, which baked in the sun and they warped.

I was just a kid, didn't know.

Anyway, I never really got to hear it.

Everything looks OK, but still nothing, not connecting to anyone.

This is probably a case of having it too low, and I want to work on that at a later date, I just want to see if it's functioning at all first.

Have got it up in a tree, about 7ft.

The repeater is on, I can log in to it.

If I send a message, there is one repeat.

Settings for Australia appear to be fine.

But nobody can see me, not showing up on anything but my own map on the meshcore app.

As you may have read in earlier posts, I'm having difficulty finding a location for my repeater, since the area here is built up and so my signal probably won't get far unless my repeater is on the roof.

Then I saw an extra problem.

If the repeater is basically where my TV antenna would normally go (I don't watch TV, no TV antenna up there) then would the Bluetooth signal from my companion still reach it?

Single story house, iron roof.

I'm doubtful.

Does it actually work?

I've pressed it and held it down, but it doesn't seem to function.

Is mine just broken or what?

I have my Sensecap solar repeater configured, it's been seen by my app, but hasn't been noticed by the local meshcore map.

Though I am receiving contacts and the rare public message.

Have sent adverts, but apart from myself, nobody seems to be seeing them.

Not showing in the adverts list in Discord either.

Maybe it's a matter of height.

I can see myself having to get Mr Antenna around to help me in this regard.

I have been advised that nobody over 50 should get up on a roof.

Oh, and I can't set the clock either, it's 2hrs fast.

Any help will be appreciated.

I just got my Thinknode M5, flashed it successfully for Meshcore, installed the app, everything looks good except nobody is around.

The map is empty.

Now, I'm not sure but is a node absolutely necessary for this? Or will phone and companion be enough?

If it is enough, what have I done wrong?

I'm waiting for a Thinknode M5 to arrive, but for nodes I'm looking at either a Wismesh repeater at $500 or a cheaper Sensecap solar node P1 Pro at $200.

I'm located in Melbourne's West, near Footscray.

I am a newbie, but fascinated.

Any advice here would be appreciated.
