Polishing Question

I was wondering what yall would recommend for grinding wheels (idk what the actual name is).

I have some felt ones, those bristly ones, and the basic sandpaper ones but I’ve been watching YT vids and they have ones with soles underneath (the diamond ones with the sizes on top)?

I saw online on Amazon they’re only like $20 and I’ve looked for in-person shopping but I can only find basic stuff. They’re good?

First Batch Ever (Stage 2 Only)

Hi so title.

Also I read that they get smaller every stage and I like this size so I was wondering if I could just hand polish them from here?

Edit: 2ish days on a Nat Geo tumbler. I watched Michigan Rocks to get it working right.

What’re these green rocks in matrix?

I think #1 is tourmaline and #2 is a garnet but idk about #3.

Is this orbicular jasper?

I saw a guy selling these rocks which he called “poppy jasper” (I read online that there’s different types of orbicular jasper) but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen rocks with the top white stuff before that aren’t the fancy jasper.

This is what happens if you eat 12 hair ties

Salem’s a radar when it comes to finding hair ties so he had to get stomach surgery.

He wasn’t happy but now we have hair ties on super lockdown. He also didn’t eat for awhile but then he got some medicine to make him eat.

What’re these rocks?

Idk where they’re from originally.

The first one’s red like a ruby or garnet but it’s everywhere. The texture’s kinda like obsidian tho.

The second one looks like a rock core but with fossils in it.

So happy I mostly avoided spoilers [early DS2]

I’m pretty sure I know who Lou is because of >!Elle Fanning!< but like everything else is crazy.

I was convinced >!Australia!< was a setup for DS3 but it wasn’t! I saw a post on how the map is easy to traverse when you get a bike but maybe that’s just >!Mexico!< bc I can barely bike around >!Australia!< yet.

So far the only things I’m nitpicky about is the only cool music spot was the >!Plate Gate!< and that the blurry sections of the map are confusing considering >!we did not see all of Mexico, can’t get to Baja California (yet?).!<

Also the map is kinda small compared to DS1 but then again they had to make more different environments.

Also confused about >!Sam dreaming Deadman because apparently he was also watching his farewell video? But eh.!<

Cool Egg

Hi I haven’t been getting much feedback from r/whatthisrock so I was wondering if yall could help?

Google says this could be moonstone, sodalite, etc… so I got kinda confused.

How does petrified wood end up like this?

I’ve seen super colorful ones but I thought maybe this one was permineralized but it’s not sparkly.

Bought a gembone (maybe?) What makes it that color?

At least that’s what my app says it was. I looked online and they’re usually more colorful (like a rainbow).

Gembone? Idk where it’s from.

Hi idk if this is the right subreddit but I bought this piece and my Rock IDer app said it was Gembone. I looked at pics online tho and they look kinda different.

What is this rock? (Looks like something attached to agate)

I thought it was a ball of quartz but it’s not very spiky.

I bought it but idk where it’s from.
