What program are you attending?
For those who completed the application process this past cycle, where are you all going this summer/fall?

I went for the first time this past Saturday. And they said the cover was $70 for women?! I’m not sure if it’s because of the increased tourism here because of the World Cup and especially since Colombia played Portugal in Miami today?
For people who usually go, is it typically that expensive? I was so shocked.
I’ve recently started doing blowouts at home and love it!! I started using a round brush and blow dryer following rollers then, a couple of weeks ago, I got the shark flexstyle and love it too. I change between pin curls and rollers. Both tools give me GREAT results. I love it but it never lasts the night or if it does, never into midday.
I feel like I’m doing everything right though?? I use a heat protectant, I use mousse, wait until my hair is around 70%-80% dry and sleep with a bonnet. I’m not sure why it isn’t holding. The last time I got a blowout in a salon was a while back so I can’t remember if it lasted long.
Only reason I can think of is maybe the area I live in? I live in South Florida and it’s constantly so wet here so it could just be that? When I blew out my hair in Philadelphia it lasted at least two days.
Should I perhaps put my hair in a bun with a silk scrunchie then in a bonnet? Truly so disappointed they don’t last.
Probably a silly question but what do most people use? I have a really spacious and sturdy tote I’ve been using for my job for the last three years and had every intention of using it for school. For those who are current students at programs, what do most people use? Is a leather tote sufficient do you think? Especially with books and other materials?
Im a 25F moving from my parents home for the first time for graduate school. I’m super new to this and need a bit of advice.
I currently have an average salary but will be leaving my job late summer to begin my program. I do plan on working part-time and relying also on financial aid.
When renting, which I will be with roommates, how do I respond to a landlord who asks for verifiable income? When we obtain our rental it will likely be in July when I am still employed at my current position. Should I give them this income?
Or should I let them know I will be a student with a part-time job I don’t have yet, and present my aid?
I also do have savings, enough for a years rent.
I’m just not sure how to approach this, any suggestions would be super appreciated!!
I'm starting a clinical psychology program in the fall, where I would take on around $150k in debt to attend. And yes, I did try for funded programs for three application cycles in a row. I have always wanted to be a licensed clinician and really wish to follow this career. Student loans frighten me, but I've never been bad with finances. I plan to use all resources available to pay them off, PSLF and NHSC, if they are available by the time I am finished with my degree.
Has anyone felt extremely ridiculous with their amount of debt when pursuing relationships or partners? Especially people you wish to settle down with? I understand that if one is expected to share finances, it is completely reasonable to break it off, especially if you'd have to commit to that person's debt. I can't help feeling like, as a single person pursuing this decision, that I basically shot my chances at a potential life-long partner with this looming debt.
As someone moving from Miami to Hartford, I’m just learning about the division of 203 and 869. Can a native explain it to me and the difference in people/atmosphere? Or is there genuinely no difference?
