Why did Hope collapse? (Speculation/spoilerish)

I'm thinking it's either a serious panic disorder or a heart attack. Is Katie's heart condition genetic? She seemed to be clutching her chest before passing out.

I think I read somewhere Bridget may return, maybe to treat Hope? They'd have a lot to talk about concerning the difficulties of being daughters of Brooke. It would be good if the writers used the show's history to reflect on the current relationship of Brooke and Hope.

Is the surgery worth it? I would have to have it on both my hands.

Can they do them both at once? Is it twice as expensive if you need them both done?

I hate the idea of taking all that unpaid time off work for a surgery I only need in order to go to work. I was doing ok on a split shift but got told it could only be temporary and I'd have to work my normal schedule eventually.

FC is responding to new competition in all the wrong ways

  1. They never should have cancelled the show. When you go to see a band, the opening act is first, not the main act. FC having it's show the next day would have given them an opportunity to get people talking about FC's new designs instead of Logan. Cancelling it makes it look they they are afraid of a little competition and that Hope leaving did more damage than it really did. It also keeps Logan in the press even longer. Cancelling the show was a huge gift to Logan.

  2. Putting the jewelry line on hold is just going to frustrate yet another employee and give her an incentive to jump ship. I understand it's just the writer's excuse for RJ to perv on Electra, but the point remains. It also makes it look like FC is unable to compete with Logan just because they have that one diamond.

It's making Ridge and Steffy look really incompetent as CEOs.

Split shift is working for me

My neuropathy is partly carpal tunnel partly other stuff..still getting tests done. Point is it is mostly in my hands and arms and I work at a computer.

My doctor increased my gabapentin and it helps but not enough so I asked my boss to give me a split shift, meaning I work 4 hours, leave for 3 hours, then come back for another 4. I use that time to go home, eat dinner, and relax and also take a hot shower because it helps a lot and isnt something I can do in the break room!

I realize many businesses do not have multiple shifts, and some people have long commutes to work, so this won't work for everybody. But if your job is causing you pain and you have the opportunity to try a split shift, ask for one. I didn't even have to go through HR to do it. And I got through my first week without feeling awful or missing any time.

Question about cuck up or cock up wrist braces and shoulder pain

I'm supposed to wear them at work but not only is it difficult to hold a computer mouse wearing those but for some reason it starts hurting the front of my right shoulder. (I'm right handed). I'm not sure whether the shoulder pain is from the muscle or the joint. Maybe it's my fault for buying a cheap adjustable pair?

For context, doctors so far said yeah I have carpal tunnel but there's also evidence of disk problems in the neck and immune system involvement. So that means specialists and more tests before we know more.

My company hired a new security team and swapped genders

My company hired a new security team and I couldn't help noticing we went from an all men security team to all women. I don't know why

Could it be we are exploiting a gender pay gap or is it more likely there was an incident of harassment? For context, our building has more women in it than men.

Any thoughts? Especially from those of you who work or have worked as security guards?

Neuropathy from multiple causes

So I've got some degeneration going on in the disks in my neck. We need an MRI for that

I definitely also have carpal tunnel.

My blood work showed ANA antibodies and although the count wasn't high, the nerve and muscle test showed evidence of a possible immune system problem. So I'm getting a rheumatologist for that. I'm guessing that means more tests.

I also requested a referral to an occupational therapist.

My doc increased medication and that's helping. I'm also supposed to wear wrist braces for work but I'm having trouble being able to work the mouse with the wrist brace on and for some reason it hurts my shoulder?

With the increase in meds I'm more confident I can get through a work week without burning out now but the fatigue is still there.

Just complaining

I'm on gabapentin while waiting for a diagnosis. Two tests down, one more to go. Followup on June 1.

It helps but not enough when I'm at work. Working makes everything hurt more. I used to like my job but I hate being here now but I have to pay bills and keep my health insurance. Typing on my phone doesn't hurt like typing on the keyboard does. Not sure why.

Waiting for results, not good at this

So I got blood work and imaging. Nerve test isn't until last week of May. I got a message from my doctor's office saying there were some abnormalities on my tests but nothing emergent and therefore she prefers to discuss with me on my follow up appointment June 1.

I'm half excited that maybe this means a real diagnosis and path to treatment and half anxious about what exactly the tests show. Maybe my fears that I've developed a second immune disorder are correct. And now I have more than two whole weeks to try not to think about it. Sigh.

Accidental find...hot hands

I'm on gabapentin but still have pain at work. I work at two computers, so lots of typing and mouse clicking. My office gets cold sometimes so I keep some Hot Hands there, you know those packets you shake and they get hot to warm your hands. Been using them for nerve pain in my hands or on whatever hurts and it helps some. You don't need to plug them in like a heating pad and they don't smell like Ben Gay or Icy Hot does, so it's perfect for work.

I probably need to go up a dose on the gabapentin and will talk to my doc about that too.

Edit..this is just about the product, not the brand. Don't know what else to call them.

If you don't like a particular artist or band, that's fine. Music is subjective and people like what they like. But I'm tired of people saying this artist's fanbase or that fanbase are (insert juvenile insult here) because they don't like the same music you like. Guess what? Not everyone has to hate all the same music you do. Unless they are playing it within earshot of you and there's no way to escape, just let them enjoy their music.

And no, this isn't about any one particular artist or band because it's always a different attack regarding a different artist across multiple platforms. And I enjoy a wide variety of music in different genres.

Does Steffy seriously not think Hope couldn't get a job elsewhere, especially when Hope's aunt just started her own fashion house? How can a supposedly smart co-CEO NOT have seen this coming? For someone who is supposedly smart, this dialogue they gave Steffy makes her look really stupid. Any CEO could have predicted that an unhappy employee with family ties to a new start up might consider job hopping.

Loved her conversation with Dylan. It makes sense now why she reacted to certain things the way she did. I even started to warm up to Dylan a little. Kinda was hoping they'd hug it out. They need to not let boys get in the way of their friendship!

I don't know my real diagnosis yet. Im seeking another doctor to get a proper diagnosis because no way does carpal tunnel cause symptoms in my shoulders and legs.

Anyway, this question is about how it will impact my job. My job consists of typing and mouse clicking all day. Two computers, four screens. Both typing and mouse clicking make the pain worse. In the past 4 weeks, I'm taking PTO or calling out and slacking off at work as much as possible to get through the day. Wrist braces at night and wrist exercises aren't helping enough, fast enough.

Am I going to have to quit my job? Take a leave of absence? Reduce my hours? Change professions? Has anyone had this problem and been able to return to a 40 hour work week without constant, progressive pain all work day? Will whatever's wrong suddenly leave my arms alone and focus on my legs for a while?

My husband's job doesnt have benefits so we rely on my health insurance through my job. How worried should I be?
