Anyone else look 101% Asian?

Nobody believes my mom is white. I grew up with a single white mom (blonde hair, blue eyes) and whenever we go out people look so confused. I love looking Asian, don’t get me wrong, but us not looking related has been a major insecurity of mine.

Has anyone’s pain gotten better over time?

Like, naturally on its own. I’m just curious. I stopped smoking weed (which helped a lot) and take pain meds/baclofen. But am hopeful over time my pain will get better, but maybe I’m too optimistic. The pain is just really debilitating. For reference, I got injured in 2019.

Edit: I meant that weed helped a lot, but I stopped because I was worried about my lung health.

Do you enjoy your primary role the most or do you do it because you’re good at it?

I really love playing support/being bot, but I realized that I can’t climb with it (I’m not very good). But I can climb playing jungle. Jungle just feels more intuitive for me, but it definitely tilts me and I don’t enjoy it much, but I play it out of necessity. Can anyone else relate? I’m not looking for advice, I know what I’m doing wrong as a support and am actively learning.

Is it worth getting this bob fixed?

Got my hair cut into a bob. She took off 12 inches, the cut was done entirely by electric trimmers, and she said she wouldn’t do an undercut but she did. Had to fix it at home because there were chunks that were at least one inch longer than others.

It just feels really heavy, especially at the bottom. I think I’ll fork out the money for a haircut by a skilled stylist, but I’m wondering if it’s even worth it since I’m not sure if there’s much they can do? I want my hair layered and less bulky like the last picture. Please help I know nothing about hair.

I hate how I hate dogs

I’m serious. I grew up with them and I only ever truly liked and loved one (she is an angel, rip Kevin). But other than her, I don’t like dogs. I don’t like their smell, their slobber, how people shove pictures of their not cute dogs in my face and I’m forced to be nice and tell them they are cute.

I recently got back from vacation with my partner and his family and two dogs came (his parent’s and his brother’s) and they were so annoying. Running around, jumping up on me, the cars smelled bad. Everything had to revolve around them. We couldn’t be out too late cause the dogs had to be walked, we could only go to dog-friendly restaurants, etc. I also live in a city with one of the highest dog populations, so I feel like I can’t catch a breath.

I genuinely wish I weren’t like this. I wish I loved them and thought they were cute. I feel like it would make my life so much easier. I just literally cannot stand them, and dog owners are so insufferable. I’m convinced most people choose to have dogs simply because they are loyal to their owners and will love their owner no matter what— you don’t have to earn a dog’s love and respect. Low IQ choice of a pet imo.

I sound like a jerk, and I hate that, but I literally cannot shake this disdain.

Sick of students asking for extensions

This is the second time in the last two quarters that a student has asked for an extension. Both times, the project has been announced on the first day, I allow a ton of time in class to complete it, say I’m available via email, zoom or in person to support them, and even allow them to turn in a draft for me to review and give my advice on.

I got an email from a student last night asking for a 3 day extension to “celebrate Eid.” Eid comes every year. It’s something she should’ve planned for. This is insane to me. It would go against my morals to grant her this extension, as it’s not fair to other students and she’s had all quarter/class time to work on it and on top of that, I already granted them a week extension!

Sadly, I will likely give it to her because I need good reviews to be rehired. So frustrated. Any advice?
