I'm trying to archive the files as a part of a project but my computer is having a hard time downloading the maps from inside the game. If anyone could download these official Facepunch maps and send them to me that would be so helpful

I really want to make games in the source engine, but I don’t really know how easy it would be to make a game with the publicly available SDK that Valve provides on steam. Is it possible to make games out of it? And if it isn’t, are there any maybe less official ways of getting access to the source engine. I’ve already contacted valve about using it and I still haven’t heard back, I don’t even think I would be able to pay the licensing fees but I really want to use this engine. I don’t want to make a half-life mod.

Something I’ve been wondering for a while is why is there no accurate portal gun addons. Don’t get me wrong there are definitely ones that comes super close to re-creating the experience of using the portal gun but they all come with their own quirks and their own problems. None of them seem to match that ripping a hole through the universe feeling that the one from Portal has.

It’s the same engine, I just don’t get why anyone hasn’t been able to port it over accurately. I’ve seen some people say that it’s maybe due to copyright reasons but the addon could easily be set up to only work if you have Portal mounted.

If anyone knows the answer, I would love to know

They were deleted for some reason and I miss them. A user re-posted the Votex Club but I really miss exploring the other ones too. I have so much nostalgia for them.

Me and my partner had a pretty big fight. I don’t want to break up with her, but I really don’t want to see her right now. we live in a studio flat so there is literally no room to go into outside of the bathroom and hallway. I’m broke, so I can’t just go to a hotel. I have no friends so I can’t just go over to their house. My nearest family lives an hour away from where I work so I can’t just go there either.

I feel like my only option is to de-escalate the situation, but I really don’t want to do that, I always do that, and it ends up just leading to more problems because nothing gets resolved and nothing gets fixed.
