Bought a laptop, now eBay’s sellers profile says “no longer registered user”

It’s been 5 days since I’ve ordered it and there no tracking either. I did some research and it says some eBay sellers don’t update the tracking sometimes. what should I do? I also clicked on the listing and it says “we looked everywhere.. page is missing“.

How would you go about duties for a helper in this situation?

I own a small, family-owned business and recently hired someone as a helper. Normally, my drivers handle their own routes solo, they drive, unload, and stock the product themselves, no help needed. (when it is very busy I do send a helper along with them)

I recently hired someone who doesn’t know how to drive. I hired him partly to give him a chance, and partly because we’re in the busy season right now. Since he can’t drive, I’m the one going out with him instead of him going solo.

The issue is when we’re at a store, he doesn’t really pitch in on the stocking part, which is the part that gets tiring when a store needs a lot of product. (mind you sometimes the day consists of mostly me driving and they’re still being paid hourly, sometimes the time it takes for me to stock a store is about 30 minutes) That’s made me wonder, is it reasonable to expect him to handle most of the physical work at each stop? Because if I’m also doing most of the unloading and stocking on top of driving, it’s basically like going alone except now I’m splitting the pay for a route I could’ve run by myself (which I do do routes by myself). The reason I’m asking is because when my regular drivers go with me as a helper, they usually handle a lot of the unloading and I still help them out (it basically looks like me as the driver and as the helper as well. Im still helping them, but they do handle most of the product placement)

I made a mistake and I can’t stop thinking about it

Feeling relieved that the owner took their senior dog to the vet today.

Yesterday, after they got home, they sent me photos showing that their dog’s eyes were extremely bloodshot. I immediately went over every detail of our day with them, including a very short car ride to the bank, a short walk, and potty breaks. This is an older dog with dementia, hearing loss, declining eyesight, and anxiety, so I always try to be extra careful. I felt absolutely horrible when I saw the photos. (I did not notice bloodshot eyes when she was with me)

We’ve been texting back and forth ever since. They asked me several questions for the veterinarian, and I’ve answered everything honestly because I genuinely wanted to help figure out what happened. Initially, they thought the dog may have overheated, but based on everything that happened that day, I’m almost 100% sure there was no realistic way that happened. The car ride was brief with the A/C on the entire time, the walk was short, and it was a cool day. The owner was not mad, but I have a sense she didn’t believe me, she also asked me if I was moving because she noticed boxes when she dropped her off (Amazon boxes). I have a theory she genuinely thinks the car ride was longer. (I am also not moving or going on car rides often)

Thankfully, her pup was seen by the vet today, and the owner told me the vet said the dog looked okay.

Now I feel terrible because the owner explained that the refrigerated Freshpet food should not have been used for the entire stay. Because the bag was fairly large, I never thought to check how long it stays good after opening. I honestly had no idea it has a recommended time limit once opened, and I feel awful about that.

The dog has always been a picky eater during previous stays with me. I noticed they weren’t interested in their kibble, so I would offer both the kibble and the Freshpet separately to encourage eating and would also give her pet safe foods like chicken, rice, eggs, carrots. She almost always chose the food I made or the Freshpet over the kibble. I’ve taken care of her for years and her parents have always encouraged and didn’t mind me making food for her either. Looking back, I wish I had realized the Freshpet may no longer have been fresh enough for them to want it, and I also wish I had communicated her meal details and maybe this would have been caught sooner.

This whole experience has been heartbreaking because I genuinely care about every dog I watch. It has definitely taught me to check storage guidelines for refrigerated pet foods and to communicate any noticeable appetite changes to owners much sooner, especially with senior dogs. I just wanted to share this because it has been a difficult lesson, and I’m hoping it helps someone else avoid making the same mistakes I did. And although the vet did not mention anything about her bloodshot eyes, I am genuinely curious what could have caused that, since I don’t think the food she intakes had anything to do with it.

Dog has bloodshot red eyes

I’ve been taking care of a senior dog for several years, and her owners are wonderful people. She’s a very elderly dog (I’m not sure of her exact age, but I believe she’s around 17), and she’s always been somewhat anxious.

Today her owners picked her up, and when they got home they sent me photos showing that the whites of both of her eyes were extremely bloodshot. They also said she seemed somewhat disoriented.

Before they picked her up, I had taken her with me to the bank. The drive was about 10 minutes each way, and I brought her inside the bank with me. She rode in the car with the ac on the entire time. My car is fairly new, the ac works well, and I even went back afterward to make sure the rear vents were working. She was panting in the car, but that’s not unusual for her she often pants when riding in the car or when she’s anxious. It wasn’t excessive, and she otherwise seemed fine.

The rest of the day was very uneventful. We were indoors almost the entire time, it wasn’t a hot day, and her potty breaks and walk were very short (about a 10-minute walk in the morning and potty breaks spread out). Because of that, I’m struggling to understand how this could have been heat related. Her owner seems to think it may have been related to the car ride, but I genuinely can’t think of anything that would have caused her to overheat.

One other thing is that she missed one dose of one of her medications yesterday. Her owners’ flight was delayed, and I had let them know beforehand that she wouldn’t have enough medication for the last day. Her owner told me she should be okay without it for one day. Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly what the medication was.

She also has dementia, poor eyesight, and is generally an anxious dog. Her owner has previously told me to leave a small light on at night because if she wakes up in the dark, she can become confused. During longer stays, I’ve noticed a pattern where she’s usually calm for the first couple of days, but later in the stay she sometimes cries, pants, or looks around as if she’s confused. If I change where she sleeps, she’ll often become anxious and pant until she’s back in a familiar spot.

She’s also become a much pickier eater recently, although today I was still able to hand feed her some rice, carrots, and a little of her fresh food.

The bloodshot eyes are what concern me the most because I’ve never seen them like that before. It’s also possible I didn’t notice them because you really have to gently pull the eyelids back to see the whites of her eyes clearly, which is what her owner did when taking the photos. As far as I know, she has never had an episode like this before.

I’m not sure whether any of the information above is related, but I’m trying to provide as much context as possible. What I’m really trying to understand is what could cause both eyes this bloodshot and for her to be disoriented? I have provided as much details as I can to the owner and thankfully my day was not very eventful so I can remember everything we did. This was absolutely not heat related and I know that for sure, but I genuinely am not sure what could have caused her to be like this. She also seemed fine when they arrived, and she is a bit older to so she is not quick to react and isn’t always super excited to see her parents like other dogs. When she saw them she really wasnt even interested. Personally I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about dogs, but this day has left me speechless and wondering the entire day what the possible reason could have been. I also don’t think it’s due to the medication because I they mentioned they tried not giving her medication before and shes been fine.

This is a client outside of rover and i do feel bad even though I feel like I took care of her well. I just feel so bad since I know them for so long and they do think it’s something related to heat because she even asked me if I went somewhere else or if I was moving because she saw boxes when she dropped her off(Amazon boxes). and I know she is asking out of worry and I can’t help but feel bad and I don’t even know why I feel bad. I feel bad because I heard the worry in her voice and now I feel terrible if I send her a message of the pricing of what she owes me. what would you do in this situation?

When living with family, why do people hoard kitchen items in their rooms?

Hi, the reason I’m asking is because I currently live with my sister and I notice she likes to keep some of her kitchen items in her room, usually I don’t care, but once in a while she takes my things in there and i noticed she just keeps my Valentina sauce bottle in her room for example, she knows I bought it and were also not going to go in her room when shes not around to get it. I’m going to buy another one at this point because we’ll ask for it and she’ll say sorry but it still ends up in her room as if it were hers. Mind you I keep none of my kitchen items in my room unless once in a while I eat in there.

My mom used to do this with her sister, she would hide things in her room from her sister. And my other sister does this with her step dad with the cereal boxes (he tends to eat an entire box of cereal in one day she says 😅 and in that case I guess that would be understandable) So I do understand when people do it because there’s people like this. Personally I am not a hoarder, nor am I someone who likes to take peoples things or overindulge on food, I’m also very generous, so I don’t like to keep things in my room because I just think it isn’t necessary when there’s lots of space in the kitchen.

I’ve been boarding this dog for a long time, he’s a sweet pup, but he has severe separation anxiety. We’re talking can’t-be-left-alone-at-all level: constant barking and accidents the moment he’s by himself and sometimes he throws up. Because I’ve had him since the beginning, I’ve always charged way below market rate, and I never take on other dogs when he’s with me.

I used to work fully from home, so I could make it work, sometimes I’d even have my husband stay back so I could run a quick errand. But now my I will have to be out more often(a few hours), and it’s just not sustainable. I’ve started declining his boarding requests and explained why to the owners, who have always been appreciative.

Then today, out of nowhere, the mom messaged me asking if he got into a dog fight, apparently the groomer noticed a bald spot and possible bite marks. I took care of him a bit longer than a month ago and I remember when the dad dropped him off he said there’s a bald spot where the dad applied flea medicine and when I looked at the spot it actually had a dark spot as well. I explained that, but it still stressed me out. Especially since I’ve only recently started saying no to them, I’d hate for her to think something happened under my care.

Honestly, it just reinforced my decision. He’s a lovely dog and I genuinely adore him, but the combination of high-needs anxiety, being significantly undercharged (including on holidays), and now this added stress makes it clear it’s time to move on. I’ll be declining all separation anxiety cases this summer, I need the flexibility, and I owe it to myself to only take on what I can handle well. But now I’m left wondering about this said bite mark. Could it have been the dark spot I saw when I picked him up?
