Cut off by my closest friend and I don't know what to do

Really struggling after I was cut off by someone who I would have considered my best friend last night, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Bit of a long story, so buckle up.

So I first developed deeper feelings for this person early last year, but before I said anything she ended up in a relationship with a girl who recently moved to our school, which was around September. I respected this, and continued to be friends with her. Earlier this year, around late March, they broke up following miscommunication about what they wanted out of their relationship. While I knew she would need time to move on, I again began to develop feelings for her. In May, I noticed she became distant, and I started to fear losing her and confronted her. She told me she had noticed that I was acting as If I was "trying to replace her ex" and said she thought I might have feelings from her. I admitted I did at this point, and she said that she was still getting over her ex and there couldn't be anything between us.

Looking back on this, I really should have properly interpreted this as a full "It isn't going to happen", but instead I still saw it as possible after some time. I waited on this for around another 2 months till the end of July, when I ended up again telling her about how I still had strong feelings for her. She fully confirmed this time that she didn't share any of those sorts of feelings back, and I respected this. I have over the past few weeks been trying to move on, which while not easy, I believe I was making good progress. Over the weekend, I among other friends were invited to a post-mid year test party at her house, but as I felt I was tired and wouldn't be in the mood to. I failed to properly communicate that I didn't want to go, and I recieved a message from her that both called me out for that (fair enough) but then went on to say that "its not easy to be friends with me" when I'm acting as If we are more than platonic friends. I wasn't sure where this was coming from, as I didn't believe I had been acting in such a way. I asked this, and was ignored until last night, when she messaged me saying that she didn't want to talk to me "for a bit".

She said she felt like I had been making it harder to move on from her ex due to my "love for her", that it was maikng her resent me and that "she hated me" and that she "hated herself for hating me". I was not expecting this at all, and I was really hurt by this, as I was/am really trying to move on. I have messaged that I will respect this decision, and that I wouldn't try to just solve this situation or something like that. I simply asked where I should go during breaks today, what I should actually say to anyone wondering about what is happening, as well as if she had said anything about this to others. I haven't recieved a response.

I'm really scared about what this will mean for my wider social life, as our friend group is pretty much all shared. I know that they will all, when it comes to it, rather remain closer friends with her than me. I don't know how long this might last, so I'm really worried that I'm going to end up losing all my other friends over this. I'm also splitting about her a lot, and I feel like I am going to end up saying something that will make things worse. I stayed home from school today sick, to avoid whatever might happen between us. I'm hoping to have a response to the questions I asked tonight, and if not I will try and ask someone else about what I should do. I really don't understand how this ended up happening, or about how I should approach the situation going forward. I know I haven't done everthing right, but I'm scared about what might happen going forward. Thanks to anyone who checks this out.

All Don't Tap The Glass related merch has been removed from Gof Wang Store (at least in AUS)

Was there just the other day when I checked, so I'm very much getting the sense it's getting a wider rerelease
