Result's Day Gifts!

My wonderful wonderful family all bought me some small presents to celebrate my results!

I got a purple notebook with attachable pencil case from my parents, see-through post-it notes and a card game for free periods from my older cousin, and Percy Pigs and a star-shaped Palm Pal (Pisces!) from my Auntie! My younger siblings got party poppers and party blowers as well 😂

Did anyone else get anything nice?

Silly little goober

Hi there! I bought this round Tigger plush at Disney World a few years back now and he's one of my favourites 🥰

Unfortunately I don't think Disney make them any more, but I seem to recall you could also buy round versions of Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore? I've also seen a few pin-badge versions of my Tigger, I think.

Anyone have any of these round guys in the collection? Or any other spherical Disney characters?

What was the ship in your first smut fic - and were you prepared for it?

As a wee twelve-year-old, I got into fanfiction and the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom at the same time, so naturally I started shopping around for Sonamy fics. I was mainly looking for cute and fluffy things to read until (being new to how fanfiction worked) I accidentally stumbled onto a smut oneshot.

At that age, I knew what sex was but not how it went down so was simultaneously both mortified and intrigued by it (especially because it contained blowjobs which at the time I was horrified by the idea of 🤣). And that's the start of my journey to how I can now read smut straight-faced in public 😂

What about y'all?

Ratatouille Glass Search

Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but thought I'd better have a look.

I'm looking for a particular glass I think was discontinued (I bought it several years ago). I don't have a picture, but from what I remember it was a Ratatouille glass (the Disney film) patterned with black food silhouettes in the end-credit art style. I think it also had Remy and Emile on it (in the same art style), but can't be sure.

It was a glass belonging to my dad and I accidentally broke it. I'd love to get a picture of it so I can either buy him a new one or try to recreate it with my Cricut.

Any help whatsoever would be appreciated!

Dis Tracks in Family-Friendly Movies

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - the Oompa Loompas sing a song about how awful each of the child ticket winners are as each one meets a horrible fate.

101 Dalmatians - Roger comes up with "Cruella de Vil", a song about his wife Anita's evil friend and how horrible she is. Double whammy here as he gets the song published in-universe, makes a load of money from it and irritates Cruella forever.

Robin Hood - living in exile, Robin Hood, Maid Marian and the merry men sing "The Phony King of England" about how terrible a ruler King John is. "Too late to be known as John the First, he's sure to be known as John the Worst!"

(Appreciated Trope) A character's name reflects their personality

When a character's name is selected by the author to reflect their mannerisms.

Agatha of Woods Beyond (The School for Good and Evil) - a Greek name meaning 'Good', reflecting Agatha's status as a princess as one of the best Evers the school has ever seen.

Alex Rider (Alex Rider) - a Greek name meaning 'defender of men' or 'protector of the people', Alex is forced to be a teen spy and saves entire continents from bomb threats, weaponized disease, and mass death over the course of his missions.

Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl) - named after the Greek Goddess of Hunting, Artemis spends most of his first book hunting down fairies to hold one for ransom. He even makes a speech about this in the third book: "While it is true Artemis is primarily a female name, every so often a male will come along with such a skill for hunting he earns the right to use that name. I am that male. Artemis the Hunter. I hunted you."
