Does Royal Caribbean use imaging technology similar to TSA? I’m thinking of the machine that you put your hands above your head and they see EVERYTHING.

I’m worried because I have nipple piercings and I’m going on the cruise with my family. I have been through TSA and metal detectors, I have set off metal detectors but not sure if it was the jewelry or what. I am 20 but there is still a stigma around body modifications in my family and I DONT want to start my cruise off with this awkward situation.

No teasers, no dates confirmed (by GV), no ticket sales, and big obvious, no lineup. We are nearly 4 months out from the city permit dates. Realistically, these companies want to get marketing and sales started as soon as possible to maximize profits. I don’t believe they are pulling a niche marketing scheme, especially not in this economy, it’s too risky.

They definitely have issues going on behind the scenes and are likely scrambling with Headliners and probably undercard as well. I believe they had a great headliner locked in, something happened, and now the person is no longer available. They are scrambling to get someone that will push ticket sales but it’s very very very close to crunch time. I’ve worked in the industry for 10 years, these radius clauses can sometimes expand into neighboring states, making booking talent extremely hard the more time passes.

And for those who will say BUT THE PERMITS! I have seen many permits filed for businesses, events, vendors and nothing comes of it. It just happens. Permits are the first order of business and depending on municipalities, can be a timely process. It’s no guarantee, just a box checked.

Anyway, this is all my speculation. I will love if it happens but it’s seemingly becoming less likely each day.

Hi a position within the City has opened and im highly interested. I want to know how is it working for the city? Currently I work for a tribal gov, basically a city. We have great benefits, 401k match, 15 paid holidays, yearly merit and cost of living increases, education leave. I work in marketing/communications now and the role I am eyeing at the city is in the same realm. Any and all feedback is welcome!

Going on a cruise in early August and we are doing a fishing excursion. Should I get the Solomon XT6 or OnClouds with Goretex? The reason I initially chose Solomon is bc I have fell into the hype train and I like the style but I went to Scheels and saw some cute OnCloud/Hoka options.

Also, does anyone have a goretex light jacket recommendation? I was looking at Arcteryx but they are pricey, which I don’t mind paying for quality, but I live in Phoenix, AZ and I don’t encounter much rain except for a few annual camping trips or trips up to the White Mountains as that is where my family is from.
