After a few months, is the dpad any good?

Can people that have used the new steam controller and have played using the dpad for different kinds of games like 2d platformers (like celeste) or metroidvania (like silksong) or fighting games let us know how is it for these kinds of games? are the diagonals too sensitive for precision platforming or are they too hard to use, for exemple

Quick switch 2 pro controller joystick survey

Can anyone that also has a switch 2 pro controller (specifically) check this? it feels like the joysticks randomly feel like they're rubbing on something (specificaly the right direction on the left joystick) inside, does this also happen to others?

Can i get composite video out of an rgb scart cable?

Hello, weird question but am i able to, for exemple, get the equivalent of a composite video signal out of an rgb scart cable?

The idea is that i would like to get more dithering for virtual console games on my wii while still having the cleaner rgb scart signal for wii games

Recommendation for greasing up buttons/dpads? (Nintendo Wiimote specifically, but would also like to hear general recommendations)

Hello, i would like to use my wiimote to play wii games but the dpad (while mechanically fine, does not have any kind of missinput issues) has gotten squeaky and like its rubbing on something (probably the controller board) (it has also gotten really yellow, incase this matters) and i would like to see if someone has any general recommendations for what kind of grease to look for that i can use on this dpad that won't lead to any kind of long term degradation.

(NOTE: i have already opened the controller and cleaned the individual parts with soap then let them dry before putting it back together, that did not fix the squeaking)

(Also, can i use that same kind of grease on other parts? specifically T3 Gamecube joystick modules and triggers, steam deck buttons/dpad, etc)

About ps1 games on ps2

Hello, i have been looking into getting a fat ps2 to play ps2 and ps1 games on, however i have heard that using a hard drive for ps1 backups wont work (i want to use the ps1 hardware instead of emulating and would like to see my options before considering soldering)

Is mechapwn and burnt cds the only option for ps1 games? and if so, what models of fat ps2 should i look for to play any region of backups (and what kind of cd)

Thank you

Can i use a single hard drive for multiple consoles?

Im not sure if this is the right place but im getting a 14Tb 3,5" hard drive and was wondering if it was possible to make it so that i could partition it accross different consoles (in this case 1 Tb for wii, 1Tb for ps2, using the rest for storage)

Would this be possible? and if so, would it cause any potential issues?
