Can’t get boot in any farther
I have a Vulcan 500 2009 and I can’t seem to get the boot in any farther, it’ll stretch out but just slide back straight to its original position. Any ideas or should I leave it alone

So I bought this Vulcan 500 ( my first ever bike) and I realized that the boot/ air duct wasn’t connected to the carb! I can’t seem to get it on there, only the top. Any suggestions?
Hey guys I’m a new rider andI have a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 (carbureted) and accidentally rode it for about 30 minutes averaging around 20 mph with the choke about halfway on the entire time. I didn’t realize it until I got home.
Toward the end of the ride, the bike started feeling sluggish and I think I heard a few crackles/pops from the exhaust when letting off the throttle. It never stalled, overheated, or showed any other obvious issues.
My understanding is that leaving the choke halfway on caused the engine to run too rich, which could explain the sluggishness and exhaust crackling. I’m planning to change the oil and but I’m not mechanically inclined to inspect the spark plugs
Could I have caused any lasting damage from one 30-minute ride, Is there anything else I should inspect besides the oil and spark plugs?
Is this multiple strawberry plants or just one ?
