Considering tirz after plateau

So I started taking reta (retatrutide) in Jan. After 3.5 months I went off for a month to start taking metformin. Then I reintroduced it, had no reaction and quickly titrated back up to my previous dosage. I eventually got to 8mg. And I'm just not losing weight. I'm 6ft tall, female, 28, I have pcos and hypoglycemia and have been stuck at 264lbs for several months. I feel like 8mg is getting pretty high, and the fact that I'm having no weight loss from it is concerning. I've been off it for almost three weeks now, and I seriously overestimated how easy it would be to lose weight once off of it. I totally forgot about the never ending food noise and obsession! The constant, all consuming appetite and desire to eat non stop. And my hypoglycemia came back with a vengeance!

Im seriously considering trying tirz. It's cheaper too.

Does anyone have a similar experience? Have you switched to tirz and had better results?

Finally got my period!!!

It's a little backstory, me and my husband decided to start ttc. I'd pretty much finally gotten my periods under control, they were relatively regular. So we had been talking about it for several months and we were going to wait until the new year. And then January came, I got my period on the 9th and then never got it again. After 3 months I got a little concerned and scheduled a gyno appointment even though I don't have insurance. She put me on metformin and said we'd need to wait and see if my period came back. Honestly I didn't have a lot of hope, I used to have periods once or twice a year, I was scared that maybe I was going back to that. But my period came back on Tuesday!!!! I'm so so relieved!!

I've been watching a baby boy since he was 3 months old. He just turned a year old last week and they're putting him in daycare, so I have two weeks left. And as very sad as I am, I have one reason that makes me very happy this job is ending. They have a bigger dog, let's call him Bob. He's a very friendly, happy dog, but he drives me nuts. I will say I've always disliked dogs who beg for food, it's very irritating to me. And he has a habit of literally standing with his nose touching the baby's high chair while I'm feeding him and trying to steal as much food as he can. I mean, I would literally accidentally drop food, or when the baby was learning to handle food he would accidentally drop food. And the dog would snatch it up before I could grab it, and I'd have to go get more. Just a little annoying. Also, the second I would lift the baby out of the high chair, I'm talking like his butt is half an inch away, he would lunge and to start ferociously licking and nibbling the chair to get any bits of food. It was disgusting. Like the chair would just be slimy because he would lick it. Revolting. And when I would eat my food, he would come up and just sort of sit there and stare at me until I would ask him to go. But one day, I put the baby down for his nap and was eating my lunch. The baby woke up hysterical and without thinking I got up from the dining table and ran upstairs to the baby. When I came down a little while later, my apple and peanut butter was gone. They were not on the edge of the table, they were in the center. I had barely started eating them, I literally had two little slices of apple. All that was left was shredded remains of the ziplock baggie that had held my peanut butter. Right at that moment the mom came from her home office and saw how bewildered I looked. I told her I was pretty sure Bob had just eaten my lunch. Her response? “Oh no. Bob, you ate her lunch? Yeah, he does that once in a while.” Mind you, I absolutely love working for this woman. They have been my favorite parents ever to work for. But that was the only time I got irritated. lol A week later after that happened, me and the baby came back from a walk, and I found my bag that holds my lunch and snacks as well as other stuff, on the floor. A shredded (NEW AND UNUSED) tampon and pad, a now empty and shredded beef stick plastic wrapper, chapstick and other assorted items were spilling out onto the floor and he was looking satisfied… I was furious. I started strapping down my bag and purse out of paranoia. But after a while I started to forget. But then, this last friday. I had forgotten my lunch but had a lil gf cinnamon swirl bread loaf slice and a couple of beef sticks in my bag. I got off of nanny duty and went on to clean the house(I'm also their cleaner) and would pause cleaning every once in a while to grab a bite of both to maintain the blood sugar levels. I had gotten halfway through when I finished cleaning the bathroom and came to eat more. It was gone. He was standing over my empty wrapper licking his lips…. I find it very hard to like him now. I'm sad to leave this job, but very happy that I no longer have to fear the loss of my food to Bob.
