Birthdays

Yesterday was the five year anniversary of getting my beetle, I almost consider it a birthday. Every year May 19th I try to make a purchase on something I’ve had my eye on but couldn’t justify. This year was tires, mud tires specifically. Living in central California, the majority of our valley is farms and ranches. This thing has been amazing getting me around even with just all season tires. Couldn’t be more grateful for this sub and knowing I ain’t alone in loving my car. Have a good day out there men 🙌🏽

Afterschool Pickups

I totally understand we have the same goal in mind, but this is irritating as fuck. Constantly being blocked in. My daughter gets out at 2:15, there are other sets of kids who get out at 2:30 and 2:50. People park in front of other cars like this all the time, blocking them in. Normally I’m patient, I’m not in a rush. But today my son had to use the restroom. Today I held my horn. How would you guys handle this?
Edited to add there’s definitely more parking, this is just them trying to get as close as they can to where the kids are coming out.

Weber 40 parts

Hello all, based in California. Looking for part numbers or places to look for the accelerator pump jet. This one doesn’t have a size on it, none do. Was wondering where I might be able to find a few of these guys? I’m able to find the silver part number, but there’s nothing on any of the jets. Any recommendations?

2003 5.3 gmc Sierra 1500

Hello all. I have the above vehicle and when I hit a bump or hill the air from the AC gets warm. After shutting off the vehicle and turning it right back on, the ac is on and cold with no problems. Can anyone point me in a direction with something they’ve done or heard?

A few days ago I asked about picking up a 1915 engine; I jumped on it. First step is getting an oil cooler, and I’m hoping she’s in the car by Friday

Hello all, I’ve recently come into contact with an engine that may work for my Baja. I currently have a 1600 single port. There’s a 1915 not too far from me at an amazing price. At 2000 usd, I’m finding a hard time trying not to buy this thing. Guy had it built it for his kids, kids are now grown. Built at Sebring west back in 2010, this thing supposedly only has 10 hours on it. I see the huge valve cover leak which is a bit concerning if it only has ten hours of runtime. But at 2k, you can’t even find a used single port for that price. So caught in the middle. Was wondering the good and the bad that may come with this
