What speed do I go when exiting the highway during the G test?

What speed should I be going after I merge into the exit lane but it’s still technically a part of the highway?

What speed should I go when the exit lane veers off the highway and onto the ramp?

DMC vs Henry Ford

I’m looking to apply to work in Detroit as an RN and I’m wondering how DMC and Henry Ford compare. I was specifically hoping to know:

  1. How is starting salary for new grads?
  2. What floors/specialties hire new grads?
  3. Do either systems offer Canadian nurses compensation for visa fees and help with the visa process?
  4. What’s the culture/working conditions like?
  5. Is it hard to get hired into peds, especially for DMC (since they have a children’s hospital)?
  6. Is it hard to get hired as a new grads, especially in specialty areas?

Any other input outside of these questions would also be greatly appreciated!

Anyone going into their last year: do you plan on moving/staying at home after graduation?

I’m going into my last year of a four year nursing program and really want to move home after I graduate in April. For context, my school is 4h from my home.

If you moved away for school, do you plan to move back home, stay where you are now, or move somewhere different after graduation?

If you stayed at home for school, do you plan to keep living at home, move out, or move to a different place entirely?

Anyone feel really awkward as an extern?

I work as an extern on a smaller unit and just feel super awkward a lot of the time, especially on days when no other externs are working. Weekends are the worst because there’s literally no one working besides me and the nurses. They’re all super nice but I just feel so awkward walking around the nursing station to do things like stocking, and I end up thinking that they’re all thinking I’m weird (which I know isn’t true). I also end up just sitting around a lot because my floor’s not that busy, which makes me feel more weird. The whole thing makes me very anxious at work and dread the fact that I have to keep this job for the next 8 months, which sucks because I really do have a great job with nice people and a good floor.

I thought this feeling would go away after a while, but I’ve been an extern for 16 months now, on my current unit for 6 months. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to make this feeling go away?

How short are sweatfleece mega high rise shorts?

I like my shorts to be not too short but also not long. I'm 5'4 and have average proportions so I'm wondering how short the sweatfleece mega high rise shorts feel and if they're comfortable for wearing in public?
