Snyder's Honey Oat & Flax Sticks - weird smell?

So I am seeing that my favorite Snyder's Honey Wheat Braided Twists have disappeared from shelves, and that makes me sad. But behold, they have these new Honey Oat & Flax sticks variety. I don't hate flaxseed usually and it has the words honey and oat, so I'm game.

I open the bag and am assaulted with this smell like hot tires/asphalt. Even airing them out of the bag doesn't help. I bravely try one, and they're actually pretty good, but the smell is worrying. The date on the bag is June 18 2026 and they should be good for a long while past that, so sayeth the Internet.

The only thing I can imagine is maybe the flaxseed oil leaching out? The inside of the bag is a tad oily, is that how flaxseed oil is supposed to smell? Or do I have a tainted bag?

Either way, RIP Honey Wheat Braided Twists :(

Triton Poker removed?

Was Triton Poker removed from Pluto?

It's not listed anymore, which sucks because they were the best poker coverage of live/recent games on the app.

Boomer-friendly venue appreciation thread

I went to my first Pinnace concert (Electric Callboy) a couple weeks ago.

I am old enough for my denial to be crumbling faster than my body. I like to have balanced sound with no-crush seat options where I can still see.

I scope the place, looks like Brooklyn Bowl which I like a lot (but doesn't have seating for GA). Out to the floor, before the 1st opener it's packed to the back. Le sigh.

But there's a balcony, let's check it. Looks like premium on the front edge, not unexpected. But wait, those sparsely populated big stairs behind .. is that seating? What's this? Spacious bleacher seating, bars/bathrooms left and right, good center stage view??

Great view of the show, no-stress seats, good sound, 8.5/10 venue.

Fellow old dogs, what venues do you find comfy with legit (non-VIP) sound/views?

I'll start it with an allegedly true one:

A lawyer met with a friend who wanted him to take a case outside of his expertise.

"I'm sorry, that's not an area of law I work in."

"Well, what area do you work in?"

"I only work cases dealing with property disputes of divorcing couples with pescasexual adultery claims."

"Shit, oh well. Do you want to go out for lunch?"

"Sure, as long as it's not fucking fish."
