Mech eng or chem eng

I am currently in my first week of Mech eng at the university of Leeds, I did A levels Biology chemistry and Maths and got AAA.
Everyone I’ve spoken to has done A level physics (or some course with physics) which is kind of making me feel left out and like chemical engineering is the better choice for me with my A levels, and also with my career choice of maybe going into nuclear even though I might be able to go into that with mech eng but not as easily.
The whole reason I chose mech eng over chem eng was because of its versatility and so more job opportunities, and because of the oil and gas industry declining especially in the uk.
Also I did do a post when I was in yr13 asking about chem eng and a lot of ppl expressed it as inferior to what it once was and the difficulty of getting a job in the industry.

I have until the second week to choose but I can’t really make a decision so any advice is very appreciated 👍

18M 5’8” is it worth going through.

I know my heights isn’t the worst and I haven’t experienced anyone irl demeaning me for my height, but social media is a demon and I just have the desire to be a little taller like around 5’10” and above as that’s around the average for the UK (and it’s at that point where pretty much no one calls you short).
I have a brother who’s around 6’ and a sister who’s still growing and 5’7” which are also sources of some insecurities.
I have a wingspan of 71 inches so if I do LL to 5’11” id have normal proportions but my parents would despise me if I do go through with this, and I am 18 yet so far away from being able to even make the decision as i do not have the money.

I know I could’ve been a lot shorter, and for the people who are I have a lot of respect for as even at this height I do think about just not existing, but I’d never kms. Any replies are very appreciated 👍

18 and clueless

I just dumped 2/3 of my savings into this vanguard ETF and now I’ve heard people talking abt adding it monthly or weekly, does it make a big difference.
