Wanna check V5 Teasers without opening Twitter? Here's a community-made gallery.

With v5 supposedly coming out soon, I was looking for a place to check past teasers without looking up tags on Twitter and Pixiv.

After some research, I stumbled upon this website made by a someone in the community, and it seems to have basically everything.

Since some people only keep up with the subreddit and others don't have access to the Discord server, I thought I might as well share it here as some of you may not be aware of its existence.

Credit goes to TheZennou/Zarko/Syzygy/TarotFool for making the site.

I switched to a desk mat: Now my mouse doesn't track well in 3d games.

Hello, I need help with a specific issue related to my mouse / desk mat.

I've been using using my computer mouse on a wooden desk for as long as I can remember. It worked flawlessly and I never faced any issue. That said, I just moved to a new place and my new desk's texture prevents me from using the mouse on it. So I decided to use a desk mat instead.

At first, I thought it would work perfectly. I browsed the web, moved my mouse around fast, no problem at all on desktop mode.

But then, I tried to use it in-game.

I require a specific amount of space on my desk to play comfortably, so what I do is that I launch a 3d/third person game (Roblox, Yakuza, etc...), move my keyboard to the left until moving the mouse from the right side of the keyboard to the edge of the desk mat lets my character do 3/4 of a turn to the side.

As usual, I started doing it slowly and it worked. I did it again just a bit faster (average speed) and it worked again.

That said, the moment I started putting just a little speed on it, the tracking went crazy.

- If I move the mouse fast from the start, it doesn't move at all or just moves for a fraction of a second and then stops, like it didn't register the movement.

- If I start slow and then increase the speed at which I move the mouse, it stops registering the movement the moment I start moving it faster.

- Sometimes it also registers a fast move to the side as if I moved it up, down, or by doing a tiny spiral.

I can't play 3D games at all in these conditions, and I'd like to know what the reason for the sudden change is.

To give some context, I use this Tecknet mouse at the base 800dpi (and even then I put low sensitivity in-game). The desk mat I use is a large black one like in the picture. I tested playing again with a different mouse (same model) and the issue remained, same when I moved the usb dongle to a different USB port and it didn't change either way.

I'm wondering if this is an issue with that kind of desk mat since I use an optical mouse. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Why do my new DT 770 Pro sound so muffled and bassey ?

Hey there, I'm the guy with the nasty ass headphones from a few days ago.

After hearing your feedback on whether I should buy replacement parts or a new pair of headphones, I was able to negotiate with my boss so he'd buy me a brand new pair of the same model.

Today I received them and got a pretty bad surprise. I know this model is supposed to be 'closed back' and must sound slightly different due to how used mine is, but the difference is too big for me to handle.

- While my current pair does block some the outside noise, I can still somewhat hear myself talk without being bothered by it. They're kinda like my bluetooth Oneodio A70 in terms of isolation. I tried listening to some songs of mine, the sound is clear and pretty balanced.

- The new pair on the other hand, completely isolates me. I can barely hear myself, like I'm in some sort of bubble, and it's genuinely annoying. I'm guessing that's due to the new cups, but I don't remember my old ones ever muffling that much sound. On top of that, I listened to the same songs as I did with the other headphones, and instead of sounding clear, I felt like the highs were weak while the bass clearly overpowered everything.

So I was wondering the following:

- Did they ever change something with the sound profile ?

- Can I use different cups to have them isolate a little less so it sounds like my current pair ?

- Would an open-back headset fix the issues I have with it, and if so, which one should I buy ?

Thanks !

Is it worth replacing parts or should I just buy a new one at this point?

Hey there, I know I'm gonna get judged real hard for this because this might legit be one of the worst and most unsanitary Beyerdynamics headphones you've witnessed, but at this point, I believe it's time I get my shit together and actually ask someone for help. Here's a lot of context:

Six years ago, during the pandemic, I bought a pair of DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm). They've served me well ever since, but let's say they're now in a 'shameful' state.

The first issues started in 2024. The headband sliders completely gave out after after 3 and 4 years of service respectively. So after the second one broke, I decided to buy 3D-printed replacements thanks to money I had saved.

Two months later, while in a different country, I wanted to make music on my brand new Lenovo Legion 5 and they suddenly sounded like they had some sort of background sizzle. It was unbearable to make music like that, so after reading it might be an issue of dust getting inside the headphones, I dismantled the ear cups to clean them. Spoiler alert: it wasn't the case, Lenovo just made a garbage product filled with issues, and in the process of trying to fix them, I accidentally tore up the inside of the cups

Finally, the past two years have been a downward spiral for my headphones:

- The headband started peeling, which seemed normal considering I had been using them between 5 and 18 hours practically everyday.

- The cups got damaged while I carried them in my bag during the rain, and later became 'spongey' due to what I assume is a mix of heat and the sweat accumulated in them overtime (I live right under the roof of a poorly insulated house, take a guess which idiot used them despite the heatwaves while not knowing they could be washed).

- The cables on the sides started peeling due to ware and tear, so I used black tape to protect them. The reason I did so was out of safety as one of my phone cables once caught fire in front of me after I had ignored the issue. They got tore even more after a while so I used transparent tape as I had no leftover black one.

- For months little bits of black plastic started falling. I assumed it was from the broken chair I had been using up to that point, unaware of the mesh layer inside the headphones. Eventually I cut a small part of my right ear (near the top of the antihelix) due to one of these bits falling off. It's still there, so no idea if it got infected or something.

- The jack part bent a little so I have to twist the connected bit it in a certain way for it to work properly.

In hindsight, I should have reacted much earlier to pretty much every single issue but didn't. I've had a lot on my plate due to college, and music and gaming were pretty much my only escape, the only way to keep some semblence of sanity.

Two weeks ago I finally landed my first job past graduation, and my first paycheck is dropping in a few days. Therefore I was wondering the following:

- I am aware I can just buy new cups, a new headband, and possibly bend the jack back to how it was. That said, I haven't read anything about the cables. Can they also be replaced?

- Due to how fucked up they are, replacing everything might be more expensive than just buying new ones. Are there any other components I have forgotten about?

I wanna specify that the headphones sound normal and I'm still using them in their current state as I write these lines. If everything can be salvaged / replaced for cheaper than a new pair, I'd rather do it since they still work.

I hope some of you can offer proper advice, I've tagged the post as NSFW just in case.
