I just started playing the original PS1 games a few weeks ago for the first time and I gotta say that this is hands down my favorite design in the entire series
I love everything about these guys. I don't know why.
Even though the Reignited game is cool, there's something magical about all the low poly characters and animations from the originals and these dude exemplify that.
Anyone else looking to do play test exchanges for their card game projects?
Like most other people here, I'm currently working on a card game and could really use some fresh eyes to try it and give feedback. And I'm also down to see what others here have done and test those games as well.
My main project, CardStrike Special, is a classic card battler with some fighting game flavor and is playable on Tabletop Simulator.
Anyone interested in doing a play test exchange? I'm mostly active on Discord as well for voice chat.
Here are some of my game's characters and their pets. Anyone else like having their characters in situations not related to their card game?
I'm preparing to launch a Kickstarter for a card game next year. What are the best resources to look into for promoting a project?
I have a card game I'm getting ready to launch next year and I want to build up a following for the campaign. I've discussed the process with several other indie card developers but the information is a bit scattered and people give different experiences. I've experimented a bit with Meta ads but I don't want to end up spending too much not knowing what I'm doing.
What would be a reliable place to look for guides/tutorials on how to properly launch a tabletop game Kickstarter? Looking it up on Google gives a lot of results from ad agencies and other services in the top results.
Vic has spent his entire life growing up on the streets of Isla Lucrecia. Abandoned at a young age, Vic was fortunate enough to have the owner of a local martial arts studio take him in as a student to teach him discipline, morality and how to use a sanjiegun (3-section staff). Now he spends his time roaming the streets of his hometown, looking for classic vinyl records and getting into the occasional street fight with the town's various crime families.
As a card, Vic pairs great with Zoner cards. Dealing a single damage to a powerful and expensive rival Fighter and they're sent back to your opponent's hand! He's a decent battler too, allowing him to take on medium size threats and when his BP gets low, his A ability will make your opponent hesitant to deploy any expensive Fighters.
Hualing was at the top of the world with her hit single. Unfortunately for her, her record label was also heavily involved with organized crime. After refusing to partake in their nefarious activities, Hualing was blacklisted from the industry, requiring her to retreat to a less-than-lavish lifestyle. Fortunately for her, she's found a new group of friends that help her get by the rough streets of the west coast city of Isla Lucrecia.
As a card, Hualing is a decent battler with a hefty for her Battle Points cost that gives you great card advantage early on. When she's defeated, you do have to remove Supports from an ally Fighter, so you need to strategize when to attack with her.
I would definitely recommend getting playtest boards/mats printed at Office Depot. Heavier cardstock combined with lamination makes for durable components. All together, it cost me less than 20 USD to get the boards and 2 decks printed out along with same day pickup.
