Best lightbulb security camera?

Hey,

So my landlords are kinda shifty. Just yesterday an inspector stopped by without and I wouldn’t have even known had I not been home sick. They’re also terrible at communication in general. I swear the property manager only works two days a week.

I want a camera to capture the outside of my door. I’m very limited in what I can use because I’m not allowed to change anything externally on the apartment (so that means no screws or hanging anything) and there are no external outlets on my one entrance. To give you an idea of how strict they are about lease stuff, they didn’t even let me install an add-on bidet cause that counted as “changing the plumbing.”

I do have a porch light though.

I understand that lightbulb cams in general aren’t the best, but I think it’s my only option. Everything else requires me to attach it to something, or could easily be knocked over. It would also be too easily noticed. Anything that requires a plug-in source is out too.

Motion activated might not be the best, since there’s a family of birds under my stairs that would send an alert unless it had people-detecting tech.

So what are my best options? And are there any other solutions I’m not aware of?

Thanks!

Faulty tonight dough batch?

I have bought 3 pints of this ice cream and there has been LITERALLY NO COOKIE DOUGH in ANY OF THEM.

I’m beginning to consider buying a different brand if this continues. I was already upset when my #1 flavor, Chubby Hubby, stopped being sold where I lived 😔

Gargoylians from Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

(repost cause formatting)

These funky lil guys are based off of Medieval Illuminated manuscript drawings, and come as basing decoration for Cities of Sigmar units. They’re great at showing off the unique whimsy of the Age of Sigmar setting. This is the description from Games Workshop:

“Gargoylians are chimeric critters of indeterminate origin, and theories abound as to their true nature. Some believe that they are drawn to the scent of faith and devotion – hence why they appear so often amidst congregations of pious Sigmarites. Others think they are miniature manifestations of the realms’ anger – and there’s a lot to be angry about – while others say they are related to the incarnates.”

Because they are fundamentally magical creatures, there’s no limit to what they can look like. They often don’t make sense as regular biological creatures, having shoes and armor as an apparent part of their anatomy. It’s nice to see a fantasy setting leaning into the extremely weird understanding medieval people had of the world, rather than just the “cool” fantasy stuff like dragons and elves. It’s a far departure from what you’d see in Tolkien stuff.

They’re also known to charge into battle with chaos without fear, and units often adopt them as mascots, which is real cute. Battle companies adopt them as mascots.

I wish GW would push them harder, honestly. Maybe release a bits box of them. Feature them in animated shorts.

(While we’re here, I desperately want GW to make an animated anthology series that takes place in the AoS setting.)

Opinions on how to make this crown? (And floating roses)

Given its size, I feel like anything rigid might be too heavy after a while. I’m also gonna be kinda blind while wearing it.

I’ve brainstormed a few options so far:

Styrofoam core. Lightweight but likely to break. More doable if I use the thicker design on the miniature.

Wire core, tinfoil filling, and foam clay surface. Much stronger, but weight might be an issue. The tinfoil could get a nice organic shape.

Model and 3D print. I’d have to hire somebody to actually make the 3D model, cause I have no experience and I’m not that dedicated to learn blender. I could get it shaped exactly how I want, but it would def be heavy.

What do y’all think? Has anyone come across a cosplay prop tutorial that’s similar and addresses the issues I might have?

As for the floating rose garland. I have no clue. Weave together wired flowers from Michaels?

Thanks!

How upset do you think Nagash was when he found out the Skaven survived the End Times?

I’m referring to the necroquake incident, not the End Times incident. The rats just keep fucking up his pyramids.

How do you think these two would interact?

Fulgrim and Sigvald, both pre and post demonization.

What does the sky look like in various realms?

It would probably vary by realm, but given how the day and night cycle work, it’s hard to imagine what someone would see when they look up.

If Hysh is the sun, is there a day/night cycle? Is everything lit like a poorly rendered video game, with no shadows?, cause the light is coming from everything at once?

Do the other realms have stars? Can you see other realms besides Hysh from the ground?
