Looking to Meet Other Dudes Who Feel Overlooked Socially

Hey,
I’m in Manhattan looking to make some friends or build a small friend group.
I’ll be upfront: I’m not really on the “conventionally attractive” side, and I’m mainly looking for other guys who aren’t focused on appearance when it comes to friendships. I understand looks matter and people naturally gravitate toward more attractive people—that’s just how it is and I’m not criticizing it. It just hasn’t really worked out for me socially, so I’m trying a different approach.
I’m pretty shy and probably socially awkward, and I’ve had a hard time turning casual conversations into real friendships, even when I go out (bars, etc.). I usually end up doing things alone.
Looking for guys (20s–40s) in Manhattan or nearby who want low-pressure hangouts—food, walks, exploring the city, or just chillin at home watching tv.
If that sounds relatable, feel free to reach out

If you could live in any era of New York, which would you choose?

If you could go back in time and actually live in any era of New York, what would you choose?
For me, it's always hard to decide. Part of me thinks the '90s would be amazing, but the '70s and '80s had such a unique vibe too. Then again, experiencing old New York in the early 1900s would be incredible.
What era would you pick, and what makes it stand out to you?

Never Really Had Guy Friends Growing Up, Looking to Build That Circle Now

What’s up guys?

I’m in my 30s and based in Manhattan. Growing up, I honestly didn’t have any guy friends so I feel like I missed out on a lot of the “bro bonding” and friendships that a lot of guys have.

I’d really like to change that and build some genuine friendships. Just having dudes to hang out with, joke around with, and do the kinds of things I never really got to experience growing up. I’ve always wanted to get into sports too — just never really had anyone to watch them with.

If you’re in Manhattan or close by and looking to make another friend, hit me up.
