Heya!

So I'm a Arch Linux/Sway user, and I've found a minor frustration when trying to pick a lock screen manager. With hyprlock, I can full customize it excepting videos or gifs. It has to be static. And with swaylock (and swaylock-plugin), I can't customize it as much but I can use a video backgrounds.

Is there any package out there that can do both full customization, but also supports videos or gifs for the backgrounds?

So I've seen people use loops and wait stuff to keep shortcuts running in the background. I have an automation that needs to run every 1 minute on my phone. So I just set it to trigger at 9am everyday, or when I connect/disconnect my charger, then let it run, it repeats 1440 times, with a 60 second timer between loops, so it spans the 24 hours.

Will it survive or would it cut off? Is there any better/more reliable way of doing it?

Edit: I figured out how to do it with Pushcut’s webhook feature! Thanks for all the help all.

Update from This Post and a rant

So I emailed Discord’s formal appeals system, and have had nothing since I did. Formal email, asking for confirmation, I contacted them as a chase up, nothing but radio silence. Not even an AI email to say I emailed the wrong team or an automated message to say they got it. And yes, I emailed the right address under section 16 of the ToS. I’ve even posted on Twitter 3 days ago tagging them and the support team. It’s 11 days til I can take further action.

Discord is just fucking useless, I’m trying to work with them as their own ToS, but either their AI does something, they respond saying “lol, wrong account, make a new ticket on the correct account” (which got auto shut down by the AI, even tho I used word-for-word of my last ticket a human saw).

So many people say AI is a saint and we should love it, but I’m fed up with corps like Discord just using it to this level. Can’t knock everything, but their moderation isn’t the same anymore.

We’re in a small issue with one of our fictives, and we genuinely don’t know what to do. We’re not in many plural communities anymore, so this is really the only place we can genuinely ask.

For context, we’re a system of 60-ish headmates, mostly built up of fictives. Most of them are aware we’re a system and most are pretty happy.

We’ve had a new-ish headmate based off of Furina from Genshin Impact appear, and who has got in well with, and was also dating the host’s partner (external body to ours). We loved that for her and were very happy for her.

Sadly Furina came to the realisation the other day that she can’t return to Fontaine (source location), then come back to where we’re located and continue dating host’s partner as well as the host. It’s caused her to have really bad depression, she refuses to leave her internal space (unheard of), and our system healer/therapist is basically the only one who can go to her internal space, but isn’t speaking to her anymore either. It’s just heartbreaking knowing why and what’s going on. This is our first time in the few years we’ve been aware of our existence having something like this.

We want to help, but we don’t know what to do. We’re not pressuring her, and we want what’s best for her, but it’s to the point where we don’t know what to do. We’ve always said if people want to co/front, they’re open to, if they don’t want to, they don’t have to (unless the obvious unwilling switches).

We’ve got no idea what to do, so we’re here seeing help/advice on what can we do? We miss her being about.

So this has been a stupid one.

My girlfriend got suspended, due to her server breaking the rules, and that account owned it, we didn't break any rules, so yk, she said to Discord Support "Hey, I... didnt do this", ofc Clyde replied saying we needed to use the app to appeal it... which she then did.

It's 2 days later, I'm at her house, and my account then gets banned in front of my eyes for "Ban evasion", even though I've never been banned... And I get 2 email for ban evasion, 1 was for my main account, and 1 for my alt I havent used in about 3 weeks...

I've appealled, but why I am I being punished for my partner's account being suspended?

Bonus: my partner's alt is still up, and we managed to recreate the server, and get a few members back, but this is ridiculous atp
