In your reports, do you count Investing categories as 'Saving' or 'Spending'

I love tinkering with my reports, but one thing I cannot decide on is if I consider money going out from my Investing category (not Roth IRA category though) spending or savings. Lots of my charts look very red because I invest ~20% of my income each month which looks like overspending, but in reality isn't technically overspending?

Just curious how others handle investment categories when using summary cards, custom reports that are supposed to talk about needs/wants spending, and formula queries that utilize them as well.

Zeiss Lens, shipped: $350

Has a small scrape from the previous owner, but glass is flawless and it takes amazing pics. Just looking to sell it and save up for a gm 50mm

Graphic Novels that "look fine on the outside, but induce dread inside"

Trying to think of what I best enjoyed about Widow's Bay (great tv show by the way, you should watch it if you haven't), and I think the constant desire to have things seem normal - even though every sign is showing you that things aren't normal - was one of the themes I enjoyed most in the show.

Some of the issues of Assorted Crisis Events has evoked this feeling, but Im looking for something longer running and non-anthological. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees (and its tie ins) I think are great examples of what Im looking for

Is it possible to use Regex in a Custom Format to match the episode name from TMDB?

If anyone else is monitoring the new Regular Show season, they did something weird and released the first episode as one long two-part episode. S01E01 - titlename1.and.titlename2. TVDB actually lists the episode as two separate episodes - E1 and E2.

Trackers are uploading season and episodes of later files shifted by one because of this mismatch.

Now, there are release names for the entire first season of 40 episodes because some people are releasing two separate episodes as S01E05. Sonarr usually grabs the first one (which was the poorly named) and then someone uploads a correctly matched episode later.

I want to be able to look at the name of the episode, check the release name of the episode, and see if a normalized 'episode name' string is found anywhere in the release. If so, that is the correct episode/file that I would want sonarr to automatically pick up.

Right now, Im just waiting 2 days then fixing the file manually since I can't get sonarr to recognize the newly uploaded title should be a higher priority

Does anyone else upload their photos to reddit as their final step in post-processing?

I really love the 'filmic' look their compression algorithm gives, so I usually will upload it to reddit before downloading the jpeg and replacing my RAWs with them. It really makes them pop

Ive tried to get Lightroom to export with 0 quality before, but they still look too good. I think however reddit compresses their image must throw out more pixels than adobe does

Kopia is deprecating B2 support, so what is the best S3 blob storage provider for backups?

Ive been using Backblaze B2 for my backups for the last 4 years, but I logged into Kopia last night to restore from a failure and saw B2 buckets are being deprecated in the future.

Curious what other remote storage people are using for their offsite backups

I’ve got a bit of a weird problem where a subset of ~1.2k photos cannot have their metadata saved. All of them have this badge on their photo in the strip, and when I try to save, I get a File I/O error.

Initially, I thought my RAW files might have been corrupted, and something was wrong with the file itself, but I tried opening the raws in two separate programs (XNview MP / DarkTable) and the image opened perfectly in those. That led me to trying out some other things including the ‘Import Setting from Disk’ option that pops up which you click on the ‘metadata error’ icon

When Lightroom tried to read these files, it just froze on the ‘Reading XMP Metadata’ step with it never getting any further. This is only a subset of seemingly random photos in my library across the entire history of photos Ive taken 2016-2026. File permissions and all things which could be getting between Lightroom → XMP File are all correct, so that leads me to believe the issue is either with lightroom or the xmp file itself.

Removing the file from Lightroom then Re-Syncing the folder fixes the problem, but then I lose all of my edits. Is there a way I can dump the XMP files is bulk from lightroom then rewrite them based on the metadata stored in Lightroom to fix the issue + preserve edits? Or any other solution Im open to.

Have a post on the Lightroom Forums with some pics + xmp example file that is causing issues: https://community.adobe.com/questions-675/how-to-clean-up-corrupted-xmp-files-1560054
