Shooting Range

I will be visiting the Gilboa area for a couple weeks at the end of the month. Looking for a range to practice in while there. Indoor or outdoor. Up to 25 yard pistol. I'm an RSO and a member of a Rod and Gun club in NYC if there is any sort of reciprocity with clubs in the area.

Any leads would be appreciated!

Android Auto

I recently purchased a 2023 X7. It's my first BMW and, for the most part, I am loving it. Rides like a dream and comfortable to drive.

That said, I have serious issues with Android Auto. When I try and make a call - 3 out of 4 calls fail, saying that the Voice app can't make the call and to contact the developer. Yesterday, it took me over 12 tries to make one call. Answering calls is just as tedious. A call comes in and it takes what seems like forever for the call to connect when it should be almost instantaneous.

The other issue is that demands the car makes from my phone, even when I'm not driving (but connected). The phone slows to nearly a crawl and it's difficult to do anything on it - even when I'm parked, not driving, not listening to music, doing nav ...etc. Simple texting, answering emails ... etc. When I try to disconnect the phone from the car, the car takes over once it's able.

I do have an older Samsung S22, but it shouldn't be this bad - this was basically the phone that would have been around in 2023.

Any way to fix any of these issues?

Magazine catch & Thread locker

In the process of trying to swap out the magazine paddle on my Shadow 2, the screw got stripped. Tried to extract it myself without any luck, so I took it to the gunsmith. They worked with it for a while, but are having a hard time extracting the screw. They (politely) asked if I was dumb enough to apply red thread locker to the screw 'cause that puppy isn't coming out without a fight.

I purchased it new, haven't applied thread locker anywhere except the optic. I did notice when I swapped out the grip panels that there was some sort of grey thread locker on the threads of the panels which I thought was odd.

Has anyone had this experience or know what's going on? Applying thread locker to either the grip panels or magazine paddle seems a bit strange straight from the factory.
