Newbie

I am really new to fishing and I bought a 6foot extractor + retractable rod and a 5000 reel to go with it as I have arthritis and wanted something very light and easy to set up 🎣
The fishery I have joined say you have to have a free running rig set up so any advice on an easy quick set up that I can use 🎣 I am not the best at knots etc so the easier the better 🎣

Method

Well I tried my new rod and reel for method feeding today ?
Caught 2 decent bream but just had a feeling I was doing something wrong all the time I was fishing ?
Going to stay with it and try again in the week though 🎣
I’m using a 10ft monster x rod and matching 320 reel so any tips would be useful and thanks for the person telling me about getting the line twist on the tip 👍 I did lose a feeder because of this but at least I know why and what happened 🎣

Method

Got new rod and reel ready for tomorrow and trying the method feeder ?
Only ever used the float so something new to try but definitely a bit nervous but have watched some you tube videos today to prepare 🎣
Not fished for over 35 years until last week and bought my second rod already to try this so hopefully have some pictures of some fish to post tomorrow?
Proper caught the fishing bug if nothing else 🤣

Reel frustration 🤬

Just put line on my reel for the first time ever and there’s not enough line on it to get it near the lip so it casts properly 🤬
I think when I asked in the shop if that was enough for the reel he didn’t understand that I meant enough to fill it ?
The line has gone on uneven too with more to the back than the front !
I tried moving the washers as in the instructions but didn’t really know what I was doing !
Got a brand new reel with uneven line now and not even a full spool !
What do I do now ??
The reel is an extractor + 5000

Reel help

Just about to put the line on my extractor + 5000 rod and wondering if I leave the green sticker where it is or try to peel it off before I do it ?
Newbie so sorry if the answer seems obvious ?

Going to try method fishing in the next few days if it gets a bit cooler but have only ever used a float before ? Only just got back fishing this week after 35 years so any advice would be appreciated ?
Do I need to use a bite alarm ?
