What type of fish is this little guy?

Location: Found in Black Ned’s Bay, Swansea, NSW, Australia.

Size: Around 8cm.

Water depth: <10m.

Night/Day: Night.

High tide/Low tide: High tide.

Saltwater/Freshwater: Saltwater.

*The dorsal fin seems to be separated into two parts.
*Does not appear to have Cirri.

* Found floating/hovering at the surface.
May be attracted to light or was hunting baby shrimp, copepods, zooplankton that were attracted to the light.

Could it be a type of Weedfish (Clinidae) or Sabretooty blenny (Blenniidae)?

What are these? Found them in a tributary of Lake Superior yesterday during the sucker spawn.

They almost look like trout but the black and brown pattern is throwing me off.

Are these two different types of tilapia? (Miami FL)

Need confirmation. Ive stared too long and now my disbelief is kicking in but I really feel like they’re different lol

Found this nope rope eating a small fish while hiking. Anyone know the species? Fish and snake.

Location: Greer
There’s no rattle. Guestimate the snakes 2.5 ft long maybe. Very skinny, but long enough to stretch over the trail. Snake didn’t seem to care we were there. We left it alone to do its thang. Best guess is it’s a Garter snake. 🐍

Fish: some kind of trout

I don’t know how It got the fish. There was a stream near by but that snake looked like it was struggling to eat it. Idk how it would have dragged it onto the trail. Stronger than it looks I guess.

Huge White Bullhead or Channel Catfish?

I originally assumed this was a Channel Catfish because of its size, but I’ve had a lot of people correct me, saying this is a massive White Catfish or White Bullhead (I think they’re the same). Any help identifying this fish would be much appreciated!

Western Michigan

New to fishing. Typically bass. Didn’t have a landing net or a good place to take the hook out, so I thought it better not to cast at it. Does that make me a wuss and what is this fish?

What Fish is that?

I was on holiday in Mallorca and spotted this fish while diving... But what kind of fish is it? Unfortunately, I have no idea what it was. Maybe some kind of scorpionfish? It was perfectly camouflaged and moved slowly, using its two long side fins. The brown scorpionfish is native to this area, but perhaps someone here has an idea. Sorry for the bad picture...

Royal National Park, Sydney Australia

Hi all
I collected these two a few years back during a walk. I suspect the skull is from a bird but no idea about the tooth - no modern birds have teeth to my knowledge so I’m almost certain they’re unrelated.
I’d be keen to know what animals they’re from!
Many thanks

Freshwater fish found in Central texas

I was walking through a trail and saw this little guy in a small creek with still water in austin, tx. Anyone know that this is? Is it a tetra? Can those even be found in the wild?! Thanks 😊

What fish is this?

My gf won this fish at a local fair but now I’m taking care of it. Set up a mini temporary tank for it until I figure out what to do. I think it’s a koi but those are supposed to get really really big. Any suggestions?

Freshwater Pond Bottom Feeders - West Virginia

Okay 2 different fish. The first one is grey and seems to have two dorsal fins. The second has an orange body with a black tail, the dorsal fin seems to be very short and runs the length of its body. They're both bottom feeding in extremely shallow water on a hot evening. This is a back yard pond in West Virginia. They're both probably a foot and a half long. Any idea what they are?
