Hello guys, I would like to ask you something about these graphic novels/comics.

I see there are 5 volumes and some comics in between, like The White Wolf or The Dreaming City. Are those tie-ins for the volumes? Should I read them in release order, for example The White Wolf #1 and #2 after The Ruby Throne and Stormbringer? I also see the vol 3 it's also called The White Wolf...
I'm kind of new, and it's a little confusing.
