Over weight checked baggage

Hey everyone!
I'm an international student flying to the US for the first time soon (Home Country → Doha → JFK → Indianapolis, all booked on a single ticket), (JFK to Indianapolis flight will be operated by American Airlines so it will be a domestic flight). I have a question about baggage fees. My allowance is two 23kg bags, but I have about 9kg of extra stuff(One of bags is weighted 32kgs) Instead of paying around $255 for a full 3rd extra bag, can I just pack one of my bags up to 32kg and pay the $75 overweight fee at my origin airport? Since my entire journey to Indianapolis is under one ticket, does that $75 overweight fee cover the domestic American Airlines flight too, or will they try to re-weigh and charge me again when I re-drop my bags after clearing customs at JFK?
Also, for my 12-hour layover in Doha, I assume my bags automatically transfer and I don't need to pick them up until JFK, right? Is there any chance of Qatar Airlines losing my bags?
Thanks so much for any advice!

1h 15m vs 12h 30m Doha layover for a first-time solo student with 3 bags?

Hey everyone,
I'm a female international student flying solo for the very first time. My rescheduled ticket had a 1h 15m layover in Doha (DOH), but I just learned I can do a free one-time flight change to a 12h 30m layover instead.
I have 3 big checked bags and I'm panicking a bit about luggage getting lost or left behind in Doha if my connection is too tight. (For the 1hr 15mins layover)
I'd love advice from experienced travelers:

  1. Luggage Transfer: Is 1h 15m at Hamad International way too risky for a first-timer with 3 checked bags, or does Qatar Airways transfer them reliably on tight layovers? Or is the schedule too tight for me to make it to the next connecting flight?
  2. Long Layover Plan: If I switch to the 12hr 30mins layover option for peace of mind, what's the best way for a solo female traveler to spend that time safely?
Should I look into an airport lounge / Oryx transit hotel? Would the provide me STPC?
Or is an official Discover Qatar City tour worth doing?
Would appreciate any advice or reassurance to help me decide!
Mainly which option should I choose?

1hr Transit in Doha

Is a 1h 15m layover in Doha enough for me and my checked bags to make the connecting flight? My original flight got cancelled, and this was the best available option, even though it's not ideal. Should I try to change it or keep it?

Headphone

Hello everyone,
Can you guys suggest a good pair of headphones?
Good noise cancellation is a must. I want something that will last at least 5 years.
(My budget is 30k)

Front Camera

My phone’s front camera takes kind of ashy and not detailed pictures. I’m satisfied with the back camera, but I don’t know I feel kind of disappointed with the front camera. Is there any way to fix it?
Phone Model: 17PM (Bought it just 4days ago)
