Low dose aspirin - any risks?

Hi! I am 12 weeks this week and my midwife has suggested I start a low dose aspirin. She told me it’s to prevent preeclampsia, so I understand the why behind her suggesting it, but I like to be fully informed on things. She didn’t go into any detail other than that, so in addition to doing my own research, I also wanted to ask here. Are there any risks associated with the low dose aspirin? Any experiences - good or bad - from taking it?

** I want to add some of my hesitation comes from spotting during the first few weeks or early pregnancy and having asthma - both things she kind of brushed over when I asked about it and was like “it’s fine”.

Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan question

Hi all - looking for advice! I am 11 weeks with a euploid embryo and have my NIPT scan next week. My OB / mid wife brought up the NT scan and said they don’t offer it in office but I likely don’t need it anyways since my embryo was euploid and I’m doing NIPT but I see a lot of people on here do all three. I found a place that can do it out of pocket, just want to get people’s thoughts on if that is necessary or would be more so for peace of mind. Thank you!

Switching to OB - can I decline a pap?

I am switching to a new OB after graduating from my clinic because they deliver in the hospital I want. I was reading through their pregnancy care plan and what to expect and it mentioned a pap on the first visit. Am I allowed to decline this even though it’s a new OB? I really don’t feel comfortable doing that while pregnant, I’ve already had pink spots on and off, I really don’t want to do something to make it worse. Can I just ask to postpone until after the pregnancy even if it’s a new OB or I’m overdue? (Please do not reply with the importance of a pap- I already know that and that’s not my question).

Dogs backside very inflamed

A bit of a back story - my boxer has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma. We have been to the vet several times these past few weeks and she is in a place where prednisone is working very well for those symptoms.

At the same time, she had what they thought was a bacterial infection on her backside area and she did a full round of antibiotics, but the swelling and inflammation is still there. I have a message out to the vet to bring her back, of course, but in the meantime, has anyone seen something similar or know what it could be? I asked maybe if it could be fungal instead of bacterial and that’s why the antibiotic didn’t work. Could it be related to the lymphoma? I am hoping the NSFW blurred the photo so I apologize if it doesn’t show that way.

Infection in the rectal area now spreading to vaginal area and leg is swollen.

I have been in and out of the vet the last two days with my dog. First she had some fainting spells so we brought her in but all her blood, labs, cardio, etc. came back good.

Then yesterday I noticed she had a horrible infection on her rectal area. Unfortunately since she’s a boxer I don’t see that spot on her much because of the way she tucks her tail so I took her back and they gave me an anti inflammatory, a antibiotic powder and and oral antibiotic.

Now today, I have noticed the swelling has gone down to her vaginal area and now her back leg. I am at a loss on what to do and it seems like I am at a stand still with answers. Please let me know if this swelling could be from the infection or what you think could be happening. Thank you!

4 day work conference in first trimester?

Hi everyone! I already know the answer to this in the right side of my mind (people who work on their feet have pregnancies every day) but just looking for peace of mind.

My company scheduled me for a work conference for 4 days next month. I had no idea it was going to be that long and it will be multiple days on my feet, talking to people, working a booth, lunches, dinners, staying at a hotel, etc.

I am currently 5 weeks and first ultrasound isn’t scheduled until 6 weeks 6 days. This conference will be when I am at the 8 week mark. Is there anything to worry about with this? Long days on my feet for 4 days? Has anyone had similar? Thank you!

After the longest wait I got the call today that my first BETA was 210! I did a modified natural FET coming off of a Lupron suppression so there has been so much that has led up to this.

I am also not supplementing with any progesterone due to a sensitivity I had to it during two prior fully medicated FETs that ended in chemical. I was so pleasantly surprised to hear my progesterone level was at 60 today!

In a process where so many things can feel like they don’t go right - I am so darn proud of my body today! Second BETA on Monday! 🤍🙏🏼

Hi - has anyone experienced brown spotting (a good amount) 9dp5dt and still had a successful pregnancy?

My progesterone was still high when I checked it this morning with my Mira and my pregnancy tests were positive. My FRER line was almost as dark as the control line this morning.

Could implantation bleeding come this late if I’ve been showing positive for 4 days now?

Please let me know if you have any positive stories - my beta is tomorrow.

Hi all! I wanted to see how important e3g is. I got my positive 4 days ago and while the line on tests has been darkening and PDG is holding strong, my e3g has been on a steady decline. It still reads in the “normal” range. Has anyone experienced this and still had a successful pregnancy?

I know I’m going a little over the top with the testing, but after 2 chemicals in 2025 I am so desperate to see these lines darken. I’ve noticed a clear darkening in the FRER but the strips don’t seem to be making as much as a progression.

What is more reliable? Do I just trust the FRER over the strips? Have you had strips stall out but still come back with a good BETA result?

Should I stop testing and driving myself insane for my BETA on Thursday?

Hi- hopefully this doesn’t count as a line progression post - I know there is a line - more curious on what day your trigger was tested out. I am currently 5 days past transfer (5 day embryo) and 12 days past trigger (equivalent to 10 DPO). I tested out my trigger for the most part and now it appears to be getting darker. Does anyone have experience with this / do you think 12 days past trigger would be this visible? I caved and tested on a clear blue digital and it read pregnant - so now I am wondering if it could be the real thing - because I have tested out the trigger before but it never read positive on a digital this late. Let me know what you think please!

I am 5 days past transfer and 12 days past trigger (equivalent to 10 dpo). I tried to test out my trigger now can’t tell if the bottom line from today is darker or if it’s residual trigger still.
