25M Colombia looking for friends

Hi there! I really enjoy listening to music, mainly rock and Spanish punk, but I can enjoy everything. I also love to play the drums. I would like to find friends to chat about everything and share music. Let's talk!

Best mesh heads for quiet practice & future e-drum conversion/recording? (Evans dB One vs. Remo Silentstroke)

Hey everyone,

I have an acoustic kit that I currently can't play because I live close to my neighbors and want to avoid noise complaints. I'm looking to get a set of mesh heads, but I need help choosing the right ones based on my main priorities:

  1. Noise Reduction: As quiet as possible for daily home practice.
  2. Feel & Rebound: As close as possible to a real acoustic drumhead (trying to avoid that super springy "trampoline" effect).
  3. Trigger Compatibility: I plan to add triggers down the road to connect to a VST/DAW so I can practice with headphones and record high-quality tracks.
  4. Durability: Built to withstand daily practice without tearing easily.

Right now, I’m mainly looking at the Evans dB One and the Remo Silentstroke.

For those who have experience with these (or other options like drum-tec, Aquarian, etc.):

  • Which one would you recommend for my specific mix of priorities?
  • Is there any other product or setup better than mesh heads for this use case that I should consider?

Thanks in advance for the help!
