Which albums would make the best standalone movie/series on concept alone?

Hi,

I've started practicing writing by using albums as inspirational writing prompts and it got me thing - which albums if they were told as movies would make the best stories based on the writing or concepts?

It doesn't have to be about the band or how they made the album, but based on the storytelling or concept of the album - what could be turned into an engaging movie?

I'll start with David Bowie - Scary Monsters and the Super Creeps, I imagine it would end up like a horror movie but directed by Wes Anderson.

UniversalDB - A free lore mapping, worldbuilding tool

My original post was a crosspost that got removed, so apologies if you've already seen this.

But I would like to present UniversalDB(UvDB) to you. It's based on an ITSM tool I built a few years ago, redesigned for worldbuilding because I can't for the life of me start a series or a TTRPG without having the entire thing mapped out first.

The likes of Campfire, Obsidian and Fantasia just didn't work for my brain. So I decided to make something that does actually help put all of my fragments into one place. The main feature is the relationship mapping, like a CMDB - relationships are key. However within each entry type you have the ability to create characters, develop power systems and connect everything together.

There are also separate quest/dialogue/story/calendar workspaces - connected to the database so you can mention an entry and the system will recognise it and turn it into a hyperlink for you - the hyperlink then lets you mouseover for a brief reminder or click on it and get more information.

There's also a ton of accessibility options in the settings. Make it look right for you, adjust the keybinds and there's some awesome import/export wizardy I spent far too long trying to perfect - allowing you to pull in data from .csv/.xls or export it - if you've used it to build a story, or you want to move it across systems.

And the best part... it's absolutely free! So check it out, if it's right for you - awesome, if it doesn't work for you? Then you can go back to whatever you prefer(but I'd love to hear what didn't work for you, so I can try and make something for everyone).

UniversalDB (UvDB) - a world building configuration management system

Hi builders,

I've spent the last couple of months developing a tool to assist me in writing and world building. I'd like to share UvDB with you.

The likes of Obsidian and Fantasia just weren't giving me what my brain needed to develop my world, track my stories and keep everything accessible and enjoyable to maintain.

So I took what I do for my day job and translated it into something to help with my hobby.

Whether you're a game master, a game developer, a novelist or just someone who likes to build worlds. I'd like to invite you to try UniversalDB and see if it helps you take your worlds and stories to the next level!

It's built in javascript and canvas, all of the artwork, animations and maps are currently entirely procedurally generated until I finish the foundation of the game.
