34 [M4F] - PJs at 5PM and Other Signs You're Getting Old.

I'm always hearing about people saying stuff like "35 is the new 25". Sure, it would be nice to go back to a time when life was more carefree and our dispositions were more innocent, but maybe we should really lean into another strategy: 35 is the new 65.

I'll throw some things out there:

Complaining about the music being too loud at a restaurant (where you're having dinner at approximately 4:15PM).

Comparing how many hours of sleep you got last night with your friends and co-workers as if its a competitive sport.

Making noises when you sit down. Bonus points if the chair is wobbly and you try to fix it.

Turning the car radio down so you can see better.

Scrolling through Cable TV (because you still have that) and finding nothing to watch, commenting that we had less channels 20 years ago and more content.

Yes, this post is a shameless way to try and get you to smile and have you want to message me. I guess having no filter is another thing to add to the list.

34 [M4F] - Do You Work From Home, Too?

I'm of the opinion the ONLY good thing to come out of the 'rona was the new-found acceptance of so many office workers to be able to now work from home.

I'm a hybrid guy, so I feel like I have the best of both worlds. When I go into the office, I do anything relating to physical paper, the high intensity tasks, the more collaborative efforts.

But when I'm WFH, well, chances are I'm not getting out of my PJs until noon. If I don't have any meetings, I end up with a lot of free time.

That's where you come in. Do you wanna keep me company? That sounded kinda conceited, 'cuz I'd like to keep you company, too. I basically have no filter and no limits, so I'll be sure to keep it interesting.

Set your Teams status to busy. Let's go!

34 [M4F] - #Online - It's 2026 and I'm still wearing skinny jeans.

I'm not trying to hate on these Gen Z kiddos and their baggy clothes....OK, maybe I am a little. But mainly, I think I'm just kinda trying to cling on to that small part of my younger days that we're all a little hesitant to let go of. I mean, let's face it....ten years ago was a lot better than now on just about every front.

Remember when stuff was actually affordable? When people weren't quite as stupid as they seem to be now? When people were putting bacon on everything?

Yeah, yeah, rose colored glasses. And I realize this post doesn't even really have much of a point. I guess I'm just looking to find a chat companion who was there, too...and see where it goes.

Ok! Bye! puts on flannel shirt
