Where should I take mechanical through EAPCET?

I am going to take mechanical but I have to choose bw cbit and vnr. I went to cbit for a tour talked to seniors and apparently the faculty is not good and the syllabus and labs outdated and it’s only memorisation at the time of the exams to maintain cgpa. I am super confused atp which college is good for mechanical through EAPCET my rank won’t get me in OU, JNTU but I can make it to cbit or vnr. Should I opt for cse or IT in below colleges cuz at least for IT fields you can learn skills by yourself how would I do it by myself in mechanical or eee. I would really appreciate any advice I am super confused and counselling is in a few days.

What to choose ECE or Mechanical in cbit

Is mechanical engineering or ECE good from cbit? Are labs and subjects outdated like most of the colleges? I want to choose between electrical ECE and Mechanical engineering, but I am confused bw them both for placements and stability which one is good? Would really appreciate any help, I am really confused. I am clearing mechanical cutoff but for ece i will hav to give donation so is it worth it in cbit with donation? My long-term goal is for masters so decent placements work if there are some in these two branches
