We made it!

Got the call today, at 14DPT post first FET, our HCG came back at 630, we're officially pregnant! Our Day 5 4BB did it!

It has taken four years, one IUI, one cancelled IVF cycle in the midst of my brother's sudden death and three retrievals to get our single euploid. Both retrievals where we got eggs only one fertilised each time. Our second embryo came back no result from PGT.

I just can't believe it. I started testing positive at 5DPT but I just couldn't accept it until we got the call. I've never even made it as far as a beta before this transfer.

Thank you to everyone who posted their stories here, it has kept my hope alive over the last two years of treatment. I'm posting here for anyone else who is sitting up in the middle of the night searching for success stories when things looked like they wouldn't work out.

Repeated failed fertilisation

Hi, I'm 36F, PCOS, no MFI. Last 2 cycles: prostap suppression, 300 pergoveris daily. Stimmed 12 days.

1st ER: 7 immature eggs, we think I ovulated early going by my blood tests. 2nd ER: 10 retrieved from 22 follicles, 6 mature, 1 fertilised and 1 euploid

3rd ER was Thursday, we retrieved 13 from 25 follicles, 6 mature and another matured late but again, only 1 egg fertilised.

The embryologist said they just don't seem to have the energy for the next stage of development after the ICSI and confirmed it was the same issue as our last round. He also said oocyte activation wouldn't have helped in this case. My husbands sperm analysis and DNA fragmentation testing have been fine.

I'm trying to understand what this means. I have a background in healthcare/science so can understand technical explanations I just don't know where to look for the information. I was so upset during the call I didn't think to ask.

I had my third ER yesterday. The first time I ovulated early and have since switched to a long agonist protocol for that and follicle synchronisation.

We got so lucky last time to get one euploid and we were so hopeful this time around.

I did two cycles of antagonist and the first was cancelled over poor response and then developing a lead follicle and the second time I ovulated before retrieval. I just don't know where to go from here. I'm considering changing clinics but I know my plan was discussed among the doctors across this network of clinics and I trust them. My husbands sperm analysis was good and DNA fragmentation was around 22%

How do I improve my egg competence? Where do I go from here? I'm so tired.
