I'm about to print spare copies of my purchased materials simply because I have this (justified?) hang-up?

Player exceedingly unlucky with skill leveling
Any suggestions?
We played 5 sessions, and everyone having fun but one player is feeling frustrated with a lack of advancement (zero success rolling over at end of session.)
