Controller help

I just want a controller that doesn't skip the down input
My friend who has a dualsense says it does when doing a zangief grab or is it a skill issue? might be a weird criteria but I just want a controller with a dpad that doesn't skip the down input, wireless, and has gyro $30-$40 and preferably no drift sticks. If that's too much for the price then I'll just have to mod a dualsense when I buy one since they're on sale let me know what you guys think I should do. First party and mod or third party?

Buying advice

-I'm willing to spend 15$ - 50$
99$ if I really like them or need certain features

-For reference I really like the KSC75s but they broke, right side doesn't work anymore.
-I do not like anything that goes inside the ear so no iems, I've been looking at flathead earphones since they don't go far in your ear like iems but always sold on things like aliexpress or other chinese websites. If I really need to though then recommend certain sellers from there I know I can trust, I would like to keep it to Amazon, or any physical store that has an online website
-Detachable cable would be very nice since it would avoid my problem in the first place but if not then as long as the cable is durable it's fine.
-Earhooks feel comfortable to me and don't hurt my ears
-Sound signature isn't too important since I can change it with an EQ
-I would prefer a set of headphones/earphones that can just handle music and doesn't sound muddy or buzz

Need help buying a controller

-Need a general purpose controller for reference the PowerA Spectra Infinity Enhanced Wired is what I have but it is broken over years of use and bumpers can not be purchased easily since it's not first party and don't want to buy specific case controllers for specific games as that'll make it to where I have to buy multiple controllers and spend more.
-I can spend 20$- 99$ (U.S) Amazon, Steam
-I mainly play on PC but it would be nice if I can use the controller across consoles
-I play Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, fighting games (Street Fighter, Dragon Ball FighterZ, etc.) Emulators like pcsx2, dolphin (gyro would be nice), So a "good" dpad would be preferred
-Swappable batteries or charging dock would be nice (Example: Xbox series X controller, 8bitdo pro 2, and pro 3) though not required
-If it is wired I would like the option to be able to replace the cable and/or just have both wireless and wired capabilities
-I am also willing to buy a first party controller to heavily mod it so if you think that's the best option also let me know.
