My ATL -> AMS EES experience 24 June: No Scan

just to give people searching up to date info:

- ATL to AMS direct, non-EU passports. At ATL they took took our photos at the departure gate prior to boarding.

- At arrival 13:00 local time at AMS we deplaned, followed lines for non-EU passports. There was no line at all.

- We saw EES kiosks but they were all roped off. We could only go to manual passport control.

- Waited in line for about 20 mins, when we got to the officer he scanned our passports and asked us two questions, that was it. No fingerprints, no facial scan. left passport control and picked up luggage

- This is our first time visiting Europe since well before EES was rolled out. we definitely were not in the system already, and I don't know if we are even in the system now (no fingerprints taken, no facial scan, no registration whatsoever).

- your mileage may vary, but we stepped off plane and on the train to Centraal within 30 mins total time.

does ATL still offer enrollment on departure?

the cbp website has conflicting information. one page says ATL is now doing EoD, but a different page section says the only EoD location is MIA.

anybody know? thank you.

us-eur success: thanks sub for the help

long time lurker first time poster. just wanted to say thank you for the insights during all my research / learning curve.

snagged 2x atl -> ams on AF business class and 2x cdg -> atl on KLM business class for $1400 usd + 176k MR points. average 44k MR and $350 usd per passenger per leg. dates were what i originally shot for but minus one day on preferred return.

put in the research and the deals are out there!
