I got accepted!
I finally got my call today from 181 training center I was 1 of 13 to be accepted this go around. Orientation July 13th, can pass a piss test without worry but is there anything I should do prior to going to the training center? Absolutely thrilled and still kind of in shock I'll be a 3rd generation operator.

Gable Vent Trimming
Putting in a gable vent tomorrow and using j channel to trim it out. Only 1/4 thick and wanting to use the j channel to cover the mounting screws on the vent itself. Because the J channel will sit out ahead of the vent should I silicone the perimeter on the bottom edge of the j channel so the water wont pool or am I better off drilling weep holes in the bottom j channel instead?

I will be having my interview with 181 here in a few weeks. I have experience running asphalt rollers, steel narrow drum rollers, farm tractors, heavy duty and traditional fork lifts, man and boom lifts, and using loaders moving snow. I have my osha 10 certification but I have lost my card and the original my previous employer never gave me so I would have to retake my osha 10 course. Would a paper certification of suffice for credibility or am I SOL? I have been reviewing interview questions and will be practicing to hopefully be proficient with answering them under pressure. Button top, blue jeans, and work boots for attire, is there anything else I am missing?
