Im in the Coast Guard got about a year until I can start skillbridge. Was wondering if anyone has done this ? Or if anyone has transferred over from the coast guard. Would love to hear some advice or any tips.
Looking for anyone that has done the skill bridge program to LASD. I’m in the coast guard and getting out in a year n half. I have a lot of questions. Little background I have 6 years in and a ton of law enforcement experience and certs. My background is obviously clean and I’m in really good shape. My credit is decent clean driving record. I would love to talk to anyone that can guide in me in the right direction regardless if you have done skill bridge or not. Appreciate it.
I’m looking to get out in the next year and half and wanting to use skillbridge. I’m currently on the east coast and wanting to move back to CA. Has anyone done this or have any insight on this? I’ve been told a few different things that my move won’t be paid for if I use skillbridge but I have also been told if I get out the CG will pay for one last move.
Got a few questions regarding getting hired. I plan on getting out of the military in about a year n half, when I get out I’ll have an emt cert. I plan on going straight into a paramedic program using my GI bill. Probably gonna apply to schools down in so cal (where I’m from). Is this almost a guarantee to get hired on with say like riverside county , sd county? I’ve heard having a medic license is the golden ticket for so cal. Would you recommend a different agency at this point or cal fire pretty solid option ?
Just got this almost a week ago. And worried about the yellow on the outside of the sun and the blue on top of the mushroom. The artist I got it from is really good and never had issues like this. Is it normal to be having the fading of these colors like I’m having ? I’ve been following the same procedure I have for any other tattoo. For reference the last picture is directly after when I got it done.
I’m interested in working for Cal Fire when I get out of the Coast Guard. I have a little under two years left on contract. When I get out of the service I’ll have about 7 years of military service and EMT cert. I have zero clue and how to better my chances for hire, where to start in this process, honestly pretty ignorant to how it works. One thing for sure is I know I wanna be a fire fighter. If anyone could hook me up with some advice or where to start with and better my chances of getting hired. Appreciate it🤙🏻
First doing a PCS and I’m doing PPM and HHG mix. When I started doing my paper work I told them my wife and I would be driving two separate cars. We are moving cross country and really don’t wanna drive separately. If I rent a trailer and throw her car on a trailer and just tow that bitch out there will I get paid out pretty decently with all the weight I’m moving ? I really don’t wanna sound ignorant we have never done this and going into this blind. Any advice be awesome thank you.

Hey how’s it going, I’m looking to get out of the Coast Guard and using skill bridge to get into law enforcement. I’m looking at Honolulu Police Department and San Deigo city. Open to other departments as well. If anyone has any advice or experience would love to hear it. Thank you.
