Hey all, trying to settle between the Explorer 36 (124270) and 40 (224270). My wrist is about 7.3inches. I tried both on per the pictures.

I always dreamed of Explorer 36 (love vintage, currently own BB54) but when I tried it on I felt somewhat…disappointed? It didn’t connect so I tried the 40mm and it the moment it felt like I have found the perfect size for that watch.

I guess now that I am near reaching my dream watch and tried both on I am leaning towards the 40mm and I wanted to hear other people’s opinions.

My biggest worry or something I keep second-guessing is whether it’s too big / too much presence for an everyday, do-everything watch. This would be my only piece.

I will appreciate your thoughts!

BB54 owner here, 3 months in as a daily. After two weeks in Japan I noticed that the polished case sides have gone hazy across the whole surface. I’ve been wearing like a stone beaded bracelet on the same wrist which I’m guessing sped things up.

Is this just normal BB54 wear that I accelerated, or worse than expected? Should I just ignore it? Cheers and thank you!
