Game keeps locking up for several seconds

Had been running fine the last several days until yesterday where everything on screen (playing Sup Com campaign missions) will freeze - movement/production/actions/projectiles etc - for several seconds then go back to normal. I can select units/buikdings during this time as well as open the options menu but nothing else.

I’ve tried - limiting the amount of cores used, a fresh install of Sup Com, FA, and FAF (although
I’m not sure if it was a totally clean uninstall as I still had saved games able to be loaded upon reinstall?), and checked my drivers are up to date. Not sure what caused this to start occurring but it is very annoying!

oh and this occurs both offline and online, and the first freeze always occurs at the same point during ACU teleport in at the start.

Tier cap for M28AI in Campaign

Is there anyway to set a tier cap when using the M28AI in the campaigns of Sup Com and FA? Booted up the first mission of Sup Com and before too long I was being swarmed by Tier 3 units which my paltry Tier 1 units could not counter!

What went wrong here? Pentax 67, Rollei Infrared 400 with an Orange 16 filter

I’ve shot several other rolls with this camera (Pentax 67) without issues, but this was the first time I’ve tried using IR film. I thought it could be that I didn’t account for the orange filter I was using, but the end result is so weird I’m not sure if that was the issue.

Don’t have the negatives back from the lab yet, they sent over the scans with a message saying that when they develop infrared film the negatives usually come out almost crystal clear - so much so that the scanner struggles to see what it is - however, my negatives are almost opaque. There is also light leaks from the top and bottom of the roll so they speculated maybe they have been very slowly been light leaked as it crossed over image and frames?

Shoutout to the Concept 5 for throwing by refusing to commit

Also featuring a spicy blind. Dudu sat at K1 the whole game and barely did 2k - then refused to commit at the end until it was too late.

Anyone with a Pentax 67 tell me how snugly the waist level finder fits?

My 67 is normally hanging upside down at my waist from a harness and I’d love to get a waist level finder but am concerned it may shake loose.

Flower Field in Lomochrome Turquoise

I bought a roll of Lomochrome Turquoise after hearing that flipping the hue resulted in something that echoes Aerochrome Infrared, a very pretty and hard to find film. The Lomo Turquoise itself produced some very colourful shots from the varying colours of the flowers and an almost otherworldly look when the hue was flipped!

I think I will pick up another roll to shoot something equally as colourful sometime.

Disappointment with the The Battle of Tallarn Journal Tactica

Although I still mourn the loss of the Black Books, I’ve been more than willing to give both the Campaign books of Heresy 2.0 and the Journals of Heresy 3.0 a chance. Up to this point I’d have given them a solid 6/10 overall when it comes to lore and art - which is the primary reason I’m reading these books anyway as narrative is my main focus when it comes to army building.

But after finishing The Battle of Tallarn Part 1 I’m just left feeling sad at what the Heresy storytelling and artwork has been reduced to. In the Journal we get some bland tale of an ambush by Solar Aux on an IW armoured column as they search for an unknown artefact. The background art throughout the book is uninspiring and often features Solar Aux on pintle mounts, manning Rapiers, or wandering around without helmets in the case of the Ogryns. Tallarn is supposed to be so toxic at this point that anyone other than a power armoured Legionary starts to melt moments after exiting a protective atmosphere - as we see on the cover of Tallarn: Ironclad. The same applies when we see the model showcase, I know GW want to show of their shiny new models, but it’s wild to see their representation of a Tallarn Reborn force featuring Ogryns without helmets and Solar Aux outside of vehicles!

We get a couple of colour plates total for the Legions and Solar Aux total - and none for the Mechanicum despite them having a whole-ass new detachment in the book. This would’ve been a great opportunity to show a bunch of really heavily corroded and battered examples of Legion/Solar/mech vehicles and automata. The loss of the OG Forgeworld painting style is felt very keenly here as the ‘Eavy Metal style of painting does not translate well to battered tanks and grime coated infantry.

Overall I’m just sad really. I was hoping the switch to Journals would result in us receiving a well written and engaging lore slice every few months along with half a dozen or so Heresy style art plates but it appears this would be asking too much.

Got both my copies of Pariah and Penitent signed along with the new version of Horus Rising. Chatted with him for a bit and he said he has just started on a third book in the Aeronautica series! Will focus on Circus 66 again.

Pandemonium is also still tied up by GW 💔
