The story is Ring of Latex Anthros for anyone curious.

It is a story written by a single author (at least up to the point I’ve read). It tells the story of a college guy who buys a ring from a magic shop that allows him to transform humans into latex/pool-toy anthros called Synthetic just by thinking about it (it's his hobby or he wants to make society better or something else, idk).

The content dives quite deep into his inner struggles regarding the impact of transforming others. As he transforms more people, his reality shifts to rationalize the existence of these creatures as if they were a natural part of the world, altering everything from memories to the past events of himself and everyone else.

Beside, it's fun to read how the MC has to rely on the altered aspects of reality to guess how the new world works, while gradually discovering the in-universe origins of the species he created.

In short: Reality-warping TF when it's well-written.

Am I the only one who sees it this way, or does this happen almost all the time in TF fiction? 🤔

"A team was sent to inspect the remains of the Heavy-rubber units after the bombing."

Opening page for part 8, I guess
