The less you care about points, the more you will begin to improve
I feel like some people put too much stock into the value of ranked points and they see it as their only goal to achieve. "Oh I gotta hit Diamond/Master/GM/Challenger". That's a reasonable goal to have, but you really shouldn't prioritize focusing on points the entire time. It's super important to enjoy the journey and be patient with yourself. Remember to set incremental goals to improve consistency, and have fun while you play.
