All the shows

I recently saw a post where someone said that they had just finished listening to every dead show available from’65-‘95.
I would think that would be a monumental if not nearly impossible task. It would take a long time, that’s for sure.
I’m not casting any doubt but I am curious.
How would somebody start such a task?

Would you just use what’s available on the playdead app or also use different media and apps?

Did you listen to any other artists along that journey?

How long did it take you.

I once listened to all of Frank Zappa’s catalog. Just official releases and it took me almost six months.
I did mix in other artists so I wouldn’t get burned out.

I know that’s a lot but I am curious and thinking about tackling it myself.

Thanks

What shirt to wear?

So earlier this week my son and I went to see Rush at Madison Square Garden, it was a fantastic show.
We took the train into New York and got to our hotel and changed clothes.
I wore one of my R40 shirts and a Rush hat. He wore a shirt from one of the metal bands that he listens to that I have never heard of ( I can’t get into new metal with the growling vocals)
Anyway, I asked him if he thought that I was too Rushed out lol. He just said that I should wear what I wanted so I went with it but we started talking about how he doesn’t like to wear a shirt from the band he’s seeing that night. I usually like to wear the shirt of the band I’m seeing if I have one. If not a similar band.
Also, I will not wear a shirt from a tour I didn’t see a band on. For instance I’ve seen kiss several times but my first show was in’84, I would never wear a shirt that said 1976 tour.
I will also not wear a concert shirt from a band I haven’t seen. I never saw the Clash, I do have a London calling shirt with the album cover but I wouldn’t wear a shirt that had a tour name on it.

All of this background to ask, what are your band t shirt rules or do you have any?

I see a lot of younger people that wear shirts of bands that they couldn’t even name a song that they play. I think that’s weird.

Books about cats

I am interested in reading some novels that revolve around cats.
Not nonfiction but fictional stories.
I like mystery, fantasy and adventure novels.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

What to draw?

I have been away from drawing for a while. I doodle once in a while but for the most part it’s been years since I’ve seriously drawn something.
I will look at the paper, pen in hand and my mind is just blank . It’s getting very frustrating because I get ideas when I’m working or whatever and then when it comes time to draw, nothing
How do you break out of slumps like this?
I know that once I start the ideas will again start to flow.

Pickles on sandwiches?

Let’s get this out of the way first. I like pickles. Not a big fan of the sweet ones but a nice dill pickle really adds to the whole sandwich experience.
The pickle must stay on the side. It has no business sitting on the sandwich. This goes for burgers also.

Why in the world would you ruin an otherwise delicious sandwich with a pickle? It seems to undergo some type of cosmic transformation that ruins everything it sits atop.

Am I alone in this? There must be someone out there that likes a pickle on their sandwich, either that or there is a conspiracy to ruin our collective sandwich experience.

How do you feel?

Bob Weir

Went on Spotify this morning and was going to play some Bob Weir music and it was all gone.
There were two Wolf brothers albums but that was it.
Anyone know what happened?

JEMP radio reception

I got away from JEMP radio for a little while and recently started listening again.
Has anyone else had trouble with it cutting in and out?
I stream at work and don’t usually have any problems but this app keeps pausing on me.
Any ideas?

Listening habits

Just a random question, probably for older listeners or someone who uses physical media.

Do you think that your listening habits have changed since you started Spotify?

I do still listen to records and cd’s but it’s easier to stream music in the car and that’s where I listen to most of my music.
Used to be that I would listen to an album multiple times and really get to know the music. Now with Spotify it seems like there’s no limit as to what I can listen to and I tend to move around a lot more and explore an artists catalogue instead of just one album.
I listen to a lot of different music but none of it is assimilated.

Does anyone else do that or do you stick around with certain music for awhile?
