Air filter gasket?

Hi

I have a old 038 that is a beast of a saw but fine dust gets around the seal of the air filter into carb and I need to prevent that

Does anyone add a extra paper gasket or have any other tricks?

Also what's peoples favorite style of air filter for a saw like this?

Fixing chain with snapped tooth

Hi

Pinched my 261s bar on a nasty leaning tree

Got my saw out with a second saw and walked away in one piece (with heart racing lol)

261 cutting wonky since then

There's a single snapped tooth (raker still intact)

I've inspected bar and the grooves look parallel

I'm considering filing the snapped tooth and raker smooth and flat and also the opposite tooth right next to it to balance it so it cuts straight

Is this wise? Is there a better way? Is there any other general advice?

Also when trying to free a stuck bar at times I've managed too just by leveraging the saw and rocking it till it's loose

I'm trying to be mindful not to put excess pressure on the saw or the bar studs but just wondering is this ok? Or a complete no go

Thanks team trying to learn

Tldr: snapped tooth, should I file off opposite tooth to balance it

Hi, I'm new to the world of nail guns/finishing guns

Recently bought a secondhand Senco 15 gauge cordless gun, first 30 shots worked mint then started dry firing and isn't consistent

I noticed the magazine has a slight play in it and this could be causing alignment issues or the culprit

Has anyone experienced/fixed/dealt with this before?

I would love some advice please

I need to scribe ceiling plywood between exposed rafters and some funky live edge (bark and all!) corner/wall transition in a fairly rustic cottage the owners want tidied up, i can use 12mm rope to join the ply to the live edge so doesn't need to be perfect but there are some interesting shapes to carve out

I'm comfortable with standard scribing and log building but I do not have much experience scribing where I do not have space for the material to go (as the rafters will restrict the ply and I want it as tight to rafters as possible)

Im considering a contour gauge but can only find them 250mm wide

Also considering a tick stick but the job is a rustic cabin not a yacht lol

Also considering holding the ply on a angle below the rafter into the corner and scribing with a compass or similar. Would this get me within a sufficient tolerance even if the ply is on a decent angle?

what time efficient techniques would you recommend ?

Bonus points for YouTube videos or good explanations

Thanks team

Tldr please help with plywood scribing techniques where I cannot fit the plywood fully into space

Also considering a tick stick onto some scrap/cardboard but the job is a rustic cabin not a yacht and hoping to find something more time efficient
