DM for Fontana

Brittany Can explain how you terminate your #1 GSL over an honest mistake in 11years of her employment with Petco, yet continue to keep the red headed employee who is verbally abusive—not only toward pets, but also toward coworkers—and does it repeatedly, not by accident?
It really makes it seem like removing the GSL was the goal all along. At this point, it feels more like retaliation than accountability. It’s sad, and it sends a clear message that the concerns raised by us employees and customers don’t really matter.

Fontana Grooming Salon

I’m tired of seeing this groomer continue to work here. She is verbally abusive toward animals, calling them offensive names and using profanity while grooming. I’ve witnessed her yanking on dogs’ legs and aggressively brushing them in ways that are completely unacceptable.
There have been statements from both customers and employees, and much of her behavior has occurred in areas covered by salon cameras. Yet the response from management and HR was essentially a slap on the wrist with a “don’t do it again.”
There is currently no Salon Leader. When she’s working alone, who is ensuring animals are being treated appropriately? There are no cameras in the back room, leaving no accountability in those areas.
I’ve also witnessed her arriving smelling like marijuana, and I’ve personally seen her and the male bather smoking during their lunch breaks.
From what I’ve seen, it feels like the priority is the revenue she brings in rather than the welfare of the animals or maintaining professional standards. That’s incredibly disappointing, and it’s one of the reasons I can’t wait to move on.
Customers this is your warning of the red headed groomer at this location. Look at reviews.
