I find myself enjoying foreign media much more. For the u.s media to be good it has to be made with a well renowned production team and popular actors. Whereas I can stumble across a random foreign film or show and it will leave me floored.
Generally, I get very uncomfortable about my kids sleeping in bed with anyone. My parents don't even try to sleep with them, but my in laws are always trying to get the babies to sleep with them overnight. Even after I tell them not to or show my discomfort about it, I still find that the the babies are in their beds.
For context, we moved back to my husband's hometown and are staying here at my in-laws for a couple of months till we buy our home.
The reason for my discomfort are multi fold.
I typically do not want the kids sleeping with anyone especially before they are able to communicate effectively
I have past childhood trauma of my own related to this.
Also, one of the biggest factors is that in the past the family has shown that they will impose their own will upon the babies even after my direct request for them not to. For example, when they were merely infants the family would kiss them in the mouth or just kiss them in general. I told them not to, but then I would see them sneaking kisses. His other family members purposefully coughed in my 3 month old's face and picked at him just to prove that he could do whatever he wanted with my baby. I said don't do that and he said "we don't have to listen to mom" DF!! luckily my husband checked him. The guy was drunk and is known to be outlandish things, but this was my first time meeting him so I didn't know what to expect at that time.
We've lived in a different state for all of the babies' lives, so I personally don't know his family that well. They are good with the kids when I'm around, and I've met them multiple times during holidays... But still they are practically strangers to me. I don't know their vices.
Plus the dad is too touchy feely for me, especially with my daughter.
Because of all of that. I do not trust my babies sleeping in the bed with them. Is that weird or am I wrong?
If I had a dollar for every time someone in Naruto says an ability, attack, or counterattack is "impossible", I would be able to buy several timeshares in Cabo.
Some of these guys are either way too sure of themselves or completely naive to the breadth of the ninja arts or someone else's ability to outsmart them. At this point it is quite hilarious.
Watching Obito fight Kakashi in the other dimension was so poetic. Genuinely think it’s in the top 3 face offs.
I was already loving this battle between Naruto and Tobi. But seeing the baby tailed beasts gathered in a circle like sweet little companions, blew my heart to shreds. How precious. This episode so accurately portrayed them as more than just monsters. They’re beings with feelings and hopes, but have been used and abused by humans for decades.
I love the puppet master Jutsu most of all especially after watching Shippuden.
The Crystal Jutsu of Guren is pretty dope too.
My follow ups:
- Bug masters like the Akimichi clan
- Black lighting like some Cloud Shinobi
- Gentle Fists from the Hyuga clan
- Rock Lee’s pure Taijutsu
I love Kiba and Akamaru and the idea of fighting alongside a ninja animal. I wish there were more of that.
It’s one thing to summon a beast, but I like that Akamaru is always around. I wish there were a cat paring too.
Nonetheless, everyone in the Konaha 12 developed new strengths and abilities in Shippuden, but it seems like Kiba didn’t develop much at all. He did get better at tracking but not necessarily combat.
I am watching the 4th Ninja War for the first time and I am absolutely pumped af !!
I’ve suffered through hours worth of fillers and I’ve finally made it 😁
I’m on the second episode of the war.
**SPOILERS Beware. Read at your own risk ***
I cannot believe they brought every fallen Shinobi back to life. At first I thought it would only be the deceased Akastsuki. I love that they’re not merely zombies. The loophole where their memories and emotions are intertwined really adds so much depth to these battle encounters.
Sai and his Brother Shin’s moment was so precious. Funny enough, I made a post about the “theory”behind Sai’s croptop a week ago, if only I’d waited I would’ve had my answers by watching this episode. lol.
Also, I love Gara as a kazekage he’s come such a long way.
I can’t for the life of me understand why the animators wanted this guy to wear a crop top. Nothing about his character screams, “put me in a croptop”
Can anyone convince me that this is fitting attire for him. His whole get up and personality combined confuses me. He’s the literal definition of “keep em’ guessing”
<EDIT>:
The mystery is solved. So here’s the answer provided by fans :
Essentially the outfit is the Root uniform. However, Sai is the only one who wears the top without an under shirt because that’s how his late “brother” Shin wore it, so he does it in remembrance of him. Also, Sai is awkward and has no sense of identity in the beginning so all of what he is (apart from being a killing machine) is learned by mimicking others or reading books.
—Thank you all for clearing this up for me. I can rest easy now that I know the meaning behind the croptop—-
# Also I misspoke when I said “Animators” I should’ve said Kishimoto the artist/writer behind Sai's design#
Thank you everyone! 😊
